A few b**rs probably would’ve been more relaxing, but instead we renovated a portion of the bar. 😅

Nothing too crazy, just a little more character, a little more old-school charm, and a few details we’ve been wanting to tackle for a while.

There is a version of this building that existed before any of us did — before the bar top, before the lighting, before anyone thought to call it 1925. We did not build this room. We just finally gave it the life it always deserved. Every detail, from the tin ceiling to the last pour of the night, is an attempt to earn the space rather than decorate it.

Some nights do not need an occasion. No anniversary, no holiday, no reason beyond the fact that it has been a long week and the room is warm and there is a stool with your name on it, more or less. Come sit. Stay as long as the conversation holds. We will keep the glass full and the hour unhurried.

Nobody comes here by accident. This is not on the way to anywhere — you have to mean to walk through the doors. We think that is the right kind of guest. The ones who chose it on purpose, who came for the quiet hour or the full one, who understood that some evenings are worth the extra ten minutes it takes to get here.

We used to stand in an empty room and dream about what this could be.

There was a version of this place that only existed as a sketch on the floor drawn by chalk. There was a lot of standing in an empty room trying to picture what it could become.

We dreamed about it, the way you do with something you have not built yet. What we did not have was any idea what was actually down the road. Not the room as it stands now, not the nights that would fill it, not the people who would come to call it theirs. You plan for a building. You cannot plan for what a building becomes.
