Running beneath a canopy of fall foliage on the Mopac Trail in the ever fading evening light truly makes Harvest Moon Hustle one of the most unique events and courses in the state. The highlight of the course is the turnaround loop at Grandpa’s Woods where runners make their way through the infamous covered bridge and around the lakes and creek that border the golf course. Then it's a dash back to Elmwood and the finish-line under the light from the full Harvest Moon. The unique setting of a full Harvest Moon, coupled with a night time trail run on the Mopac Trail & after party has made this a ‘must run’ event for Nebraska runners each fall and sells out quickly. The Harvest Moon Hustle is part of the Born & Raced In Nebraska Series The race offers a flat and fast, out-and-back course for the perfect opportunity to set a PR, or simply enjoy and evening run with friends in the cool autumn air. After the race, runners are treated to a live band, beer, and a BBQ dinner at the after party.
