Another favorite tradition at our Spooktacular horse show is... the costume class! Split into three age divisions, we love seeing the unique and creative ways our community show off their horses! In this picture, we see some mini John Deere tractors, a Chic-fil-A cow, and the Headless Horseman!

Showmanship Pairs Pattern

We have LOTS of fun classes at our 2026 Spooktacular Horse show INCLUDING:

1) Ba****ck Tandem Horsemanship - two riders, one horse, one horsemanship pattern. The pair is judged on ability to complete the pattern while sitting pretty!

2) Showmanship Pairs - two horses, two exhibitors, and a well-timed display of their showmanship prowess. Have you ever had to do double the inspection cross overs because your judge has to go around two horses?

3) NonEquestrian Parent Showmanship - this is for all of those horse show moms and dads who aren't sure where their kid got the horse bug... for those parents who have dedicated the nights and weekends to going to horse shows... now you get to see if you can remember how to showmanship! Specifically for non-equestrian guardians, this class gives them the chance to experience the show arena, too!

Special Volunteers Needed:

If you’re in need of some service hours now that the show season is over… we are looking for volunteers to collect the downed sticks and branches. The sticks and branches from storms need to be hauled to the burn pile.

If you’re interested in this service project, please PM us or get a hold of SCW president Kim or SCW activities director Emily.

Sad News….

Sunday’s show has been rained out. There’s been so much rain that our arena and grounds are too damp to safely or comfortably hold our show. We miss you all and hope to see you at our Halloween Spooktacular on October 11th!

Well, Mother Nature is sure giving us quite a bit of rain this week. We are gratefully able to MOVE this show until Sunday, September 27th! Thank you to our judge, Greg Treffer, for being available. We hope to see you all there.

We're going to use the same patterns we had planned for Sunday the 20th... now just one week later!
