We've had some questions recently about what to wear to show at Salt Creek Wranglers -
For English, we recommend typical show apparel: breeches, tall boots, a collared shirt, stock pin, hunt coat and helmet. Sometimes, if the weather is quite warm, the judge and show office will waive the hunt coat requirement.
For Western, we you can go as fancy or as simple as you like - as long as you have safe boots, jeans or riding pants, and a tucked in shirt, you're good to go! You can wear either a cowboy hat or a helmet in our Western and Ranch classes - that is up to you.
For halter or showmanship, you can pick to show in either English or Western attire!
If the show is labeled as a "Shorty" or casual show, that means you can wear whatever you'd like, as long as you're wearing safe boots, a helmet in English, and it is appropriate for the weather and the audience. Please leave those bikinis at home!
