Welcome to Woodstick! We’re so happy to host this annual celebration of summer, music, community and FUN!!!!!!
We offer 2 stages of musical fun, jamming for musicians, hiking, camping and food. Bring your own chairs and beverages.
Woodstick history
Music has been front and center in the Woodstick history, starting in the DuBourdieu family as far back as 1892 there has been a record of DuBourdieu’s jamming on their instruments in the Maine woods.
More recent history is brothers Daniel and David DuBourdieu getting together with friends to jam on the family farm. From this grew a regular party of friends from various bands gathering, families bringing chairs and potluck shares. It was dubbed Woodstick around 1989 and the moniker stuck.
Recently it has grown to regional bands and 2 stages to accommodate all the musical talent in the area.
Meeting other musicians is a long time tradition of Woodstick! Even if you’re not scheduled to play, bring your axe and meet others to Jam with! Having 2 stages gives room for people to connect and explore musically, while allowing more formal sets to proceed.
Camping
Camping is available in the field or in the woods for Saturday night. If you need electric hook up for an RV please communicate with us prior to arriving so we can find you an appropriate spot. Please no noisy generators as this would disturb other campers, thank you. If you will be arriving Friday night to camp, please reach out to us.
Fire,
Fires are allowed along the edge of the field in containers off the ground. Please don’t start fires in the woods or under overhanging branches due to risk of spreading flames. Thank you. We have some wood available in the camping area.
BYOB
We have some food available during Woodstick at the main house. Water is available to fill vessels to keep at your camp site. Coffee, tea and some breakfast items are available at the main house in the morning of and after the festival. In Limerick the is a grocery store, a Dollar General and several restaurants including Towne Hill Grille, The Peppermill, Dough Boy Donuts (great breakfast sandwiches there) and Dunkin Donuts. Cornish is about 15 minutes away and has several great restaurants including Krista’s and Lindsay’s.
Other Accommodations:
In Limerick there is a lovely bed and breakfast, The Jeremiah Mason House (www.jeremiahmasonhouse.com) 207-793-4858. This is about 5 minutes from our place.
About 15 minutes away in Cornish is The Cornish Inn (www.cornishinn.com) 207-625-9243, also very nice and has a great restaurant Lindsay’s, in it.
