🍎 Junior Committee Volunteer Spotlight: Landon Wilkerson 🍎

This week, we’re excited to shine the spotlight on Landon Wilkerson, who is beginning his third year as a member of the Casey County Apple Festival Junior Committee!

One of Landon’s favorite festival duties is working at the Apple Festival booth alongside Mrs. Dale Hoskins and Stacey Beeler. For Landon, volunteering there is about much more than helping out—it gives him the opportunity to meet visitors from all across America who come to Casey County to experience our festival.

“I love getting to meet and hear from people from all over America who come to our county to experience the festival, while also getting to share our community, traditions, and what makes Casey County so special.”

Landon is the son of Kara and Jamie Wilkerson and is entering his senior year at Casey County High School. Outside of the festival, he has an incredible passion for art and photography and stays very involved in both his school and community.

At CCHS, Landon serves as President of the Art Club, Beta Club, and Student Council. This summer, he was selected to attend the prestigious Governor’s School for the Arts (GSA) and was also accepted into the Governor’s Scholars Program (GSP)—two outstanding accomplishments!

After graduation, Landon plans to attend art school and pursue a career as a Creative and/or Art Director. 🎨📸

We are proud to have a talented, driven young person like Landon giving his time to the Casey County Apple Festival. We love watching our Junior Committee members grow, develop their talents, and become leaders in our community.

Thank you, Landon, for helping us continue a tradition that brings our community—and visitors from far beyond Casey County—together year after year! 🍎❤️

🍎 Little Apples Spotlight:
Archer Franklin 🍎

Meet Archer Franklin, age 7, son of Christian and Aaron Franklin, brother to Janie, and grandson of longtime Apple Festival volunteers Larry and Joyce Wilham!

Archer has been coming to the Casey County Apple Festival since he was born, so you could say the festival has always been a part of his life. ❤️ One of his favorite things is riding around on the golf cart with Pa and Nana, and he gets excited every year when Apple Festival time rolls around!

When he’s not enjoying the festival, Archer loves playing his Nintendo, playing outside, hanging out with his cousins, and spending time with his little sister. He also loves wrestling around with his daddy and mommy! Archer enjoys going to church and learning about Jesus, and with his jokester personality and big smile, he’s sure to keep everyone around him laughing.

And when it comes to Apple Festival favorites, there’s one treat Archer definitely looks forward to — chocolate chip cookies! 🍪 He always makes sure to get a piece of the Big Cookie when it’s served during festival week.

With grandparents who have given so many years of their time to the Apple Festival, Archer is growing up surrounded by the same traditions, memories, and love for the festival that have been passed down through his family. 🍎

We love watching another generation of Little Apples grow up at the Casey County Apple Festival! ❤️🤍💙
