Freewill Folk Society

Freewill Folk Society Our main presence on campus is the monthly 2nd Friday contradance series in Muskie Archives. This year's festival will be held February 8 and 9, 2013.

We also invite folk artists and musicians to come and share their work on campus. Freewill Folk Society is a student-run organization at Bates College that organizes monthly 2nd Friday contradances and invites folk artists and musicians to share their work with Bates and the Lewiston community! We also hold the annual Bates Community Folk Festival, a celebration of community and the rich folk music traditions in Maine and New England. More info to come soon!

Dancing this Friday, at Bates College! Greg Boardman and Baron Collins-Hills for music, with calling by Hannah Otten! 70 Campus Avenue, Lewiston ME! Dancing will be from 8-10, with a beginner's lesson at 7:30. No partner necessary, all dances taught. Looking forward to seeing you there!
