Just another quick reminder for your summer cleanup projects, Leitchfield! The City of Leitchfield Transfer Station is still running its extended seasonal hours to help you keep your property looking its best. As you plan your cleanups, don't forget that we have a special Saturday opening coming up on July 11th to give you an extra weekend opportunity to drop off your items.

Here is a quick refresher of our current schedule through September:
- Tuesdays & Thursdays (Extended Hours): Open from 7:30 AM until 4 PM
- Normal Hours (Monday, Wednesday, Friday): Closes at 3 PM
- Special Weekend Date: Open THIS Saturday, July 11, as well as Aug. 1 and Sept. 12.

Disposal Details:
- Large/Specialty Items: There is a disposal fee for items like construction debris, tires, and appliances.
- General Household Trash: Always FREE for city residents.
- Take advantage of these hours to finish those mid-week projects or finally clear out the garage. Just load up the truck and bring it down to see us at 510 S. English St.

We are just one week away from our Heritage Day celebration. Join us next Saturday, June 20th in the parking lot next to the Jack Thomas House!

Come join the Grayson County Historical Society as we celebrate American's 250th birthday and the 50th anniversary of the GC Historical Society.

This will be a day full of traditions as we travel back in time to learn how our ancestors lived and worked. We will have a blacksmith demo, footstool weaving class, butter churning, toy making, community quilt display, and many more.

Our event is free for all to come and enjoy and learn how our ancestors lived.

***The footstool weaving is a prepaid event***
