Join us as we sit down with some serious KCBS firepower fresh off the Smoke on the Shores BBQ Championship in Lebanon, TN!

First up: Grand Champion Drew Davis of Razorracks BBQ out of Pleasant Plains, Arkansas. Drew iveteran pitmaster with 28+ KCBS Grand Championships on his résumé (and counting). He and his wife Chelsey have been chasing the Smoke on the Shores GC title for years — and this weekend they finally checked it off the list in dominating fashion. That win not only earned them the big hardware but also punched their ticket to the World Food Championships.

Next up we’ve got Joelle and David Goan of Kith n’ Kin Competition BBQ in the house! This husband-and-wife team turned in a strong RGC performance at Smoke on the Shores and will give us the inside scoop on their journey, teamwork, and what it takes to compete at the highest level.

Joining Rob and Producer Ty as our co-host is Eric Cantrell, Certified KCBS Master Judge!
Eric brings years of high-level KCBS experience to the table — not only as a seasoned Master Judge who has evaluated hundreds of competition entries, but also as someone who cooks on the circuit himself. He’s known for his sharp eye on what separates good BBQ from great BBQ, deep knowledge of KCBS rules and scoring, and no-nonsense insights that help both competitors and backyard cooks level up.

This weekend, we hosted the 10th Annual Smoke on the Shores BBQ Championship, and what a weekend it was.

This was our biggest year yet, with 125 pro teams and 52 backyard teams competing.

Teams traveled from across the country to Lebanon, TN, chasing record deals and a coveted guitar. From first-time teams to seasoned champions, the level of talent was nothing short of incredible.

We kicked things off Thursday night with a potluck sponsored by Performance Foodservice. Roughly 250 people, teams and judges, came together to share stories, food, and friendship. It’s moments like these that truly define the BBQ family.

The competition got underway Friday with the Springer Mountain Farms Chicken Challenge.
Congratulations to our Grand Champion, Bourbon & Blues BBQ, and Reserve Champion, iBQ’n.

Friday night also featured the Performance Foodservice Allegiance Rib Challenge. Congratulations to Grand Champion, Alpine Smoke Works, and Reserve Champion, Electro-Que-Ted

Saturday brought the Sam's Club Dessert Challenge, along with both pro and backyard competitions.

Congratulations to our Backyard Grand Champion, Norala BBQ, and Reserve Grand Champion, Weez's Groovin BBQ.

In the pro division, congratulations to Grand Champion, Razorracks, and Reserve Grand Champion, Kith n’ Kin. Both teams earned invitations to the BBQ World Cup & Expo in Las Vegas for a shot at the million-dollar prize. Razorracks also earned a Golden Ticket to compete at the World Food Championships in Indianapolis.

We also saw incredible entries in the Sam's Club Dessert Challenge. Congratulations to our champion, Bad Rooster BBQ, who also earned a Golden Ticket to the World Food Championships.

Thank you to our teams, you are the heart of this event. The passion, dedication, and pride you bring are what make Smoke on the Shores so special.
