Alright former and current hay bale tossers , this is your notice - you’ve got less than one month to train (and contact your chiropractor) for the REAL hay bale toss of 2026.

So mark your calendars for Tuesday, July 7 at 7:00 p.m. at the Marion County Fairgrounds (720 Fairgrounds Road, Lebanon, KY 40033).

Heckling your friends and family to participate is allowed (and encouraged), so share and tag those you want to see participate!

If you’ve been convinced, please contact Lee Mattingly at (270) 699-1441 to register or become a sponsor. This will allow us to also get an idea on how to split divisions.

The video breaks down how the contest will be conducted as there will be a timed and height component.

It was a busy day in the show barn at the Marion County Fairgrounds on Saturday. You may recognize some familiar faces who exhibited in the 2026 Marion County Fair Dairy Show as 9 participants were members of Marion County 4-H and/or FFA. The show had a total of 20 participants with 75 animals.

Congratulations to Avery O’Bryan for Supreme Champion and Kieran States for 4-H Supreme Champion.

We couldn’t have made it happen without the following individuals:
- American Wood Fibers for their donation of shavings for our show ring
- Cox Farms Beef for supplying the delicious beef patties
- The Dairy Alliance for sponsoring lunch
- The Jones Family for cooking and preparing lunch for all our exhibitors, their families, and show staff
- and last but not least our show chairperson, Crystal Nalley for making it all happen!
