This coming Tuesday!

The CU Boulder Eklund Opera Theater Singers are excited for a visit to Leadville to share their program “Music: the Food of Love” on February 6th at 7pm at The Old Church. This group of graduate students from CU Boulder will be in residence in Leadville, rehearsing, working with students at Lake County Schools and enjoying winter in the mountains. Please come support young artists and enjoy an eclectic blend of all styles of music, including opera, song, musical theater and jazz. Tickets at the door for $10. We hope you can join us!

AN EVENING WITH CELESTA, DONNA, AND SCOTT is BACK! Join us on Saturday, December 17th at 7PM! Tickets available at the door. $10 for children/seniors and $12 for adults. New this year! We are offering a family pack of four (4) tickets at $30. Any additional children (17 and under) are $5. Come ring in the holidays!

Due to the vast amount of illness among our performers, we are unable to continue with tomorrow’s (3/5) scheduled concert. At Lake County High School Performing Arts we value performing with our entire team. When circumstances out of our control arise, such as illness, we have to make tough decisions. We do not want to risk spreading illness to other students, performers, and audience members. Thank you for your understanding.

The Lake County Civic Center Association is excited to announce the second annual performance of AN EVENING WITH CELESTA, DONNA, SCOTT, AND FRIENDS: CHRISTMAS EDITION. The soloist for the evening include Celesta Cairns, Donna Schaefer and Scott Carroll. These three will be singing and playing some of their favorite Christmas songs from O Holy Night to All I Want for Christmas is You. The performance will also feature the Old Church Singers who have been rehearsing all fall in preparation to perform some favorite carols. Luke Finken, Glenda Dunn, Carl Schaefer, and Susan Corn Fladager will provide holiday readings this year. As always, there will be a special appearance by Santa and Mrs. Claus with a photo opportunity onstage. Artistic Director Scott Carroll says, “We are so fortunate to have so many talented performers here in Leadville. I feel so excited that as a collective team we get to collaborate to bring this evening to life for our community.”

Come join in the holiday cheer at 7PM this Saturday, December 14th at The Old Church (corner of 8th and Harrison). Doors will open at 6:30PM. Admission at the door is $10 for Children/Seniors and $12 for Adults. All proceeds go to the continued operation and revitalization of The Old Church.
