The Lawrence County Arts Council is located in Lawrence County Illinois. We promote the arts and volunteer our services to our community. You can help too!

The Lawrence County Arts Council’s vitality and artistic excellence relies upon many dedicated volunteers and our gracious donors. Supporters’ contributions cover such overhead as royalty fees, advertisement costs, printing of posters and programs, custodian services, lumber and hardware for sets, theatrical lighting and sound equipment, make-up and costumes, props, scripts and musician’s fees. With support from organizations and individuals, we can continue to present theatre that will entertain and educate our audiences, as well as train actors, directors, and technicians. Monetary gifts are tax-deductible and greatly appreciated. LCAC also welcomes non-monetary contributions in the form of goods and services from local businesses and individuals. Please consider remembering the Lawrence County Arts Council in your Will or estate. Whether it is a designated dollar amount, or a percentage of your estate, any level would be greatly appreciated. The Lawrence County Arts Council is recognized by the IRS as a 501(C)3 not-for-profit organization, therefore your monetary gifts are fully tax deductible. Finally, become involved! The Lawrence County Arts Council is a collaborative effort, and welcomes volunteers in all aspects of our community endeavors.

The Lawrence County Arts Council presents their original fall production of 𝘽𝙚𝙩𝙬𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙇𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙇𝙤𝙫𝙚 & 𝙈𝙪𝙧𝙙𝙚𝙧, a story inspired by the true life events leading up to the murder of Georgine Lyon, the 1952 Lawrence Township High School Librarian. Come witness this tragic tale born from the ashes of reality!..

This grant will help us with our mission to promote and provide artistic and creative experiences for the residents of Lawrence County and its surrounding areas. Today is 9-25 as well as ! ❤️

Dolly believed that when you’re in a position to help, you should help. She gave generously, dreamed big for children and spent her life finding ways to make a difference in the lives of others.

Things you can do to help:

Donate to the Lawrence County Arts Council, which provides summer theatre & arts programs to our local youth.

Make plans to see our fall show, 𝘽𝙚𝙩𝙬𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙇𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙇𝙤𝙫𝙚 & 𝙈𝙪𝙧𝙙𝙚𝙧 (November 5-8 & 12-15). Seeing our shows helps support us to be able to bring more programs to our community.

Or, donate to the Friends of the Lawrence Public Library District. The Library provides many wonderful youth programs and hosts our photography show for all ages.

There are many ways to give to your local community and support the arts like Dolly.
