Ultra X Nevada

And with that, the second and sadly final edition of Ultra X Nevada is complete. Our athletes - a week ago mostly strangers, now feeling like family - ran from the beautiful cultivated wilds of Torino Ranch, through Red Rock, with a triumphant finish on the baseball field at Blue Diamond.

After a farewell concert at dark, they ran an epic route across a mountain pass, through the wild desert.. then baseballs and personalized cards met them at the finish line. They were joined by local runners, and greeted by passionate local outdoor organizations.

It feels like it went on forever, yet was over in a flash. Thank you to all our participants, supporters, and the worldwide team that made this event beautiful and full of community.

This page will now go inactive, and in the future we hope you will check out another great Ultra X race across the world, for an experience of the lifetime!

The long day - 37 miles of glorious wild roads and views; now, our participants enjoy one of their final surprises at our race - a race as much about community, and the campfire, as it is about running.

Today we ran the crown jewel of Southern Nevada, Red Rock. Steep cliffs, over a mountain pass, and into Torino Ranch where the incredible Brett Torino Foundation has built an oasis to support the local community. We'll base out of here until Friday, exploring the wilds of Lovell Canyon.

Tonight we celebrated the Great American Camping Tradition, hot dogs and s'mores. And in the spirit of a week full of friendships, adventures, s'mores, and baseball, we are watching The Sandlot.

Tomorrow is the long day - 60K.

Day two was always meant to be the short one. Jumping up to high elevation and climbs isn't easy for just about anyone, and this day has always been a little short, but on an incredibly beautiful and rewarding course that drops from the high trees to the low open deserts.

A beautiful sunrise is always a bonus! Tomorrow we move to the famous Red Rock, over the pass, and to the incredible Torino Ranch.

Epic views kicked off the first day, with perfect weather at 7200 feet for a 40k run up and down Lee Canyon. To end the night, a celebration of the first night of Diwali and the cause a couple of our participants are fundraising for.

Every athlete has a different story, but they all come together around the start line, the finish line, and the campfire.

Onward tomorrow to Kyle Canyon, where an epic loop takes us from the high mountains, to the open desert, and back again.

We are ready for our runners!!! UXNV is more than a race - it's a week long, life changing experience with runners and crew from around the world. This week, we celebrate the beauty of the Spring Mountains and the effort of our athletes with a true "Welcome to America". From the high peaks to the low deserts, around the campfire and to our finish line on a baseball field, we will celebrate our love for the world that lies just outside our city limits.

Today our Asst RD Ryan stopped by Torino Ranch, where our partners with the Brett Torino Foundation have built and maintained an incredible oasis in the Spring Mountains, and support an immense number of philanthropic programs in the region. Our race will spend 3 days / 2 nights at Torino Ranch whilst exploring the wonders of Lovell Canyon , where they work along with our partners at Save Red Rock to preserve this quiet gem on the other side of the mountains from Red Rock. Thank you both for contributing to the community and this amazing part of our race!!!

We've been quiet in the hot summer, but we are now under 2 months to go until the race! Just a reminder for you and your friends, registration closes in a couple weeks to make final purchases and preparations, but you can STILL join us for a low cost of $50 on our final day 40K!

Not able to make it out to our whole event? A limited number of local runners and walkers can join us Friday 10/24 for a bare-bones, low cost point-to-point 40k from Torino Ranch to our finish line "Spring Mountains Celebration" at Blue Diamond Park. This run makes a *great* final run for the Desert Dash a few weeks later and we share a chunk of course with them.
