💙A Message to Our Big Blues Bender Family💙
Each year, the Big Blues Bender welcomes new Benderheads into our community, and we love seeing our family grow. Unfortunately, with that growth comes an increase in scammers who try to take advantage of attendees who may not yet be familiar with our packages, transfer process, or event terminology.
While we do everything we can to help protect our community, there is no way to completely eliminate these bad actors. That’s why we’re asking everyone to stay vigilant and look out for one another.
🔹 If you’re buying or selling a package:
• Please do not post your phone number publicly.
• Sellers and buyers can connect through Facebook Messenger first.
• Before exchanging any personal information or sending money, verify the reservation with Bender Support.
• Do not let the seller rush you to make the payment & beware of being told to use a wire transfer service
🔹 For sellers:
• Be sure any payment method you accept cannot be reversed after a transfer is completed.
• Protect yourself just as carefully as you protect the buyer.
🔹 For our veteran Benderheads:
• You know the process, the terminology, and how things should look.
• If you see a post that seems suspicious, doesn’t sound right, or raises concerns, please speak up or tag us.
We want every person joining us for the Big Blues Bender to have an amazing experience from the very beginning. No one should have their excitement overshadowed by a scam before they even arrive.
