It was announced today by Frank Wolfe, CAE, Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP) Chief Executive Officer that later this year, pending United States Internal Revenue Service approval, it will finalize its creation of a new organization to conduct research and award scholarships.

Dr. David Schwartz, Associate Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs at UNLV, will be our key note speaker. Dr. Schwartz is globally recognized for his work on gaming and is a top expert about the history of gaming in Vegas. He will discuss how technology has disrupted gaming in Las Vegas in the past and how it might do so in the future. We hope to see all our members at this event.

Our guest speaker will be Mr. Michael Hill of FBI Las Vegas Field Office. He will talk about the impact of October 1st tragedy as well as internal threats on organizational Cyber-security. Please see below for his short bio. :

Michael Hill is an experienced and accomplished Cyber Security, Cyber Investigations, and Information Technology Professional with an extensive career spanning nearly 30 years in Federal Law Enforcement with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Michael Hill is currently a Computer Scientist assigned to the Las Vegas Division. CS Hill has experience in implementing Cyber Security policies and procedures, risk management assessments, threat assessments, and system administration. CS Hill has extensive experience in Information Technology breaches, computer and network intrusion, and cyber-attack incident response.
