A proper 10–20 minute vocal warm-up before rehearsal prevents strain and prepares your voice by increasing blood flow, relaxing tension, and engaging breath support. Start with body stretches, followed by gentle humming, lip trills, and Sirens (sliding from low to high pitch) to safely wake up the cords.

THE NOT READY FOR STARBRIGHT PLAYERS!
WHO ARE WE?
We are a new part of the SCS Community Theatre club. We will write, rehearse and perform 1-5 minute Comedy Skits. You don't have to be a writer or a performer to be one of us - you can be one or the other or both! It's a Great Opportunity for folks of all kinds - Maybe you write - Maybe you like to Act, but can't memorize too much anymore, but you still want to have fun! Maybe you can still memorize. This group is For All of You!
WHEN & WHERE?
2nd & Last Monday of Each Month!. 6 pm at Sun Shadows Community Center.
This meeting will be a chance to get to know each other and see what each of us wants to do. We already have a few skits written - and are open to more from the group. Our goal is perform - not right away - but hopefully in about 6 months or so.

As Announced at tonight's General Meeting - the October Musical is 9 to 5!
AUDITION & SHOW INFO:

ROLES AVAILABLE:
There are approximately 19 Named Roles. There is 1 Lead Male, 5-6 Supporting Male Speaking roles, 3 Lead Female Roles, and 8-9 Supporting Female Roles Plus the Ensemble with both men & women.
AUDITIONS:
Auditions Open to All Sun City Summerlin Residents
Open Auditions will be held April 13 & 14. 5 pm at the Starbright Theatre
Prepare 16 bars of a song from a Broadway musical or a Dolly Parton song. Please Bring Sheet Music.
Wear Comfy Clothes & Shoes, as you will be asked to move around.
Bring a Headshot - it doesn't have to be professional. If you submitted one for a previous show, contact Lida at [email protected] or TEXT her at 702-370-0028 to see if she has it.
Bring Completed Audition Form (attached to this email). Please List ALL Absences, even Religious Holidays, on the form.
If you have not paid your dues, please bring $15 and the Completed Membership form (attached)
Auditions will be First Come, First Served
You may be asked to sing first, then read, then simple choreography. There will be several areas happening on the stage at the same time.

The Not Ready For Starbright Players held their first meeting tonight at Sun Shadows, with 17 in attendance! Besides learning more about the group's mission, hopes and plans, they played a few IMPROV games and talked about skit ideas. The next meeting will be held Monday, March 9 - 6 pm at Sun Shadows. Bring a Joke, Fun Quote and your skits or skit ideas, if you have some.
