We are a week away from Rolling Smoke @ the Pawnee County Fair! You can cook and SCA Steak on Friday then all you Rib Cookers can come Saturday and see what your ribs can do in the competition!

Our badass trophies again by Ryan Ashcroft and Friday night stay around and watch Jake Gill concert.

There are some rooms blocked at the roadway inn under steak comp.

The Pawnee County Fair is right around the corner. Check out the line up for the events! Bring the family and come and enjoy the fair!
We have extended our early bird special till Sunday July 21. This wrist band will get you into all 3 nights of events. Buy now and spend $10 for all three nights or wait and pay $10 each night. Get ahold of a fair board member or contact the Pawnee county extension office.

We are a month away from the Pawnee County Fair cook-off weekend. Come out Friday night and cook a SCA steak then Saturday come and try your hand at the rib cook off.

I want to thank all that was involved with this weekend for the Kansas state championship! We had a great weekend with all of the contestants that came to participate! With out you all this couldn’t happen.

I want to thank all of the volunteers that helped me all weekend so I was allowed to cook and help my kids cook.

Want to thank all of the great sponsors that help make it possible! There are so many to name but they know who they are.

Thanks to Ryan Ashcroft for producing some awesome trophies. National beef for providing some good steaks. Bandb Quality-meats for cutting the steaks and making them perfect! Josefiak Cattle Co. For the kids trophies and sponsorship. And to Eldridge Fencing, Inc. for the donation of the grill for the Kansas Championship winner!!

All of the proceeds will help our 4h shooting team and our 4h Fair association with there endeavors!

And to Carolyn Gardner McInteer for running our comp and doing a great job for keeping me inline! And to all of the judges!

Again thank you all for coming and enjoying our comp and we hope to see you all next year.

We are a week out from Championship weekend!

Friday night we are short cooks and for us to make money for our shooting team we are needing to do 1 or 2 things. Either cancel or lower the payouts

So for Friday night new payouts
$1000 - 1st
$500 - 2nd
300 - 3rd
150 - 4th
75. - 5th
50 - 6-10

Saturdays will stay the same for steaks

Ancillary will 50% payout to winner and 1-4get trophies

Saturday ancillary will be 50% payout to winner
as well and trophies to 1-4

Sorry but with low numbers I don’t want to have to cancels so we will start with this and still have a good time.

We are getting close to the big weekend here in Kansas. We need 10 more to sign up for each day to make this happen!

Remember to qualify, you just need to cook one Kansas event!

We have some awesome steaks and a great atmosphere !

Roadway inn has a block of rooms reserved all you need to do is call them and mention steak comp!

We are getting closer to the big event! Make sure you are getting signed up!

This is going to be a great event. We will have breakfast for you on Saturday morning for all the cooks.

The 4h shooting team will be having a raffle Friday and Saturday for a grill.

It is one of the only comps in the central states !

Can’t wait to see you all. Will be getting rates locked in the next couple days for the roadway inn.

Campers are welcomed. We have hookup for campers

To make this happen, we are going to need at least 25 contestants for Friday night and Saturday. Remember all you have to do is cook one Kansas event to qualify for the championship. So come Friday and you are qualified.

3 chances at a steak ticket and 2 chances at ancillary tickets.

We have some great steaks coming in and some awesome trophies by Ryan Ashcroft!

Get signed up so we can make this happen.

You know me I will try my hardest to make this happen!

P.S. just don’t sign up to show numbers and not show up. At least have the nerve to contact me and let me know you can’t make it. Things come up and I completely understand! This goes for any comp you may attend. It helps the promoters and reps get accurate numbers and save money on ordering steaks.
