La Porte Santa Parade

La Porte Santa Parade The Santa Parade is a non-profit event and entry is free of charge. Entries and decorations must be child-friendly.

Santa will be escorted to his Chalet, located at Central Station Plaza, followed by walking characters and much more. The parade is a great opportunity to showcase your business or organization at a well-attended family event. Please note that all entrants must decorate for Christmas and complete the parade route.

We love a good snowfall in La Porte, but this one is bringing more trouble than twinkle. With heavy, wet snow on the way, we’re canceling the Santa Parade to keep everyone safe. But don’t worry — Santa didn’t cancel on La Porte! He’ll still be hanging out in his chalet at Plaza 618 all month long for visits and he has a special message for all the kiddos.

Santa's elves were busy this morning getting Plaza 618 ready for his arrival this Saturday. Come out to the plaza starting at 2 p.m. for coffee and hot chocolate and browse delicious holiday-themed treats from Betty Sweets! Santa will make his way down State Street to the chalet beginning at 4 p.m. with the 4th Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony to immediately follow his arrival.
