We're looking forward to welcoming you to Ladies Night Out tomorrow night at 5:00pm. We have an amazing selection of local businesses ready to greet you and create a great night out in Historic Lapeer - Main Street DDA!

Printed copies of our map will be available at the starting location, Beyer's Furniture Of Lapeer.

We've highlighted a simple loop you can take to hit all the participating businesses, but you can also plot your own route and enjoy the community however you'd like.

Parking in the downtown increases after 5:00 p.m.

Let’s be honest. We all know that many so-called Black Friday deals at big-box stores and national chains aren’t genuine bargains.
These retailers rely on psychological triggers — urgency and scarcity — framing their offers as “once-a-year,” “doorbusters,” or “only while supplies last.” That pressure can lead people to buy impulsively, without checking price history, for fear of missing out.
Marketers call this “hunger marketing.” They also often leverage the “anchoring effect” — advertising an inflated “regular price” only to slash it when the sale hits, making the discounted price look like a steal, even if the high price was never real.

Let’s shift our habits.
What if, instead of giving our money to chains, we directed more of our spending toward local, independent small businesses?
According to a recent statewide study, just a 10% shift in Michigan consumer spending toward local retailers could spark nearly 12,000 new jobs and generate more than $1.1 billion in new economic activity across the state.
