Today, we celebrated a very special team member, Mike Horning, with a farewell party as he begins his well-deserved retirement! 🎉

Mike has been part of the Lansing Center family from the very beginning—literally! He has been with us since the building was constructed from the ground up in 1987, dedicating nearly four decades of hard work, knowledge, and commitment to our team and our facility.

While we are certainly going to miss having Mike around, we are so grateful for the many years he has shared with us and the lasting impact he has made.

Please join us in celebrating Mike and wishing him all the best in his retirement! Congratulations, Mike! 🎉👏

🎉 Thank You, Mike! 🎉

After more than 39 years of dedicated service, we’re celebrating the retirement of Mike Horning and the incredible mark he has left on our team, our facilities, and our community.

Mike has been an integral part of our Maintenance Department since the Lansing Center opened its doors on May 20, 1987. He’s been here through the construction of the stadium, countless events, challenges, changes, and milestones — always bringing his extensive knowledge, mechanical expertise, dedication, and positive attitude to everything he did.

Much of Mike’s work happened behind the scenes, but its impact was felt by our customers, coworkers, and properties every day. His ability to troubleshoot, dismantle, repair, and reassemble just about anything is truly unmatched, and his knowledge and willingness to help will be incredibly difficult to replace.

Mike, thank you for 39+ years of hard work, dedication, compassion, and friendship. Your contributions have made a lasting difference, and your legacy will be a part of our properties for years to come.

Please join us in wishing Mike all the best as he hangs up his toolbelt and begins his next chapter! 🛠️🎉
