Hello Riders! We are so happy to see the ride going so well for you - we had a few reminders to pass along to you as we prepare for your arrival on Saturday!
Rider Pick-up and Support Vehicles: All vehicles coming to town to pick-up a rider are advised to meet their cyclist at our general lot. This is located 1931 Main Street, Lansing IA 52151. Be advised: This lot will be busy and may require a wait. Best practice will be to coordinate a time for your arrival with your rider and wait outside of town before you come into the general lot. In addition, if there is a wait to enter the general lot, there is a large shoulder to pull off on. Support vehicle drivers or family members/ friends picking up riders are welcome to take the shuttle into town to celebrate!
Official Team Parking Direction: Unless you've been contacted directly by Lansing RAGBRAI, team support vehicles are asked to park in our General Lot, Located at This is located 1931 Main Street, Lansing IA 52151. Rider Shuttle to General Lot - UPDATE: Shuttles and SAGS are provided to assist you in getting you, your bike and your luggage to the general lot safely. The most efficient way will be for you to load your luggage onto the shuttle and follow the bus/shuttle to the general lot to collect your luggage upon your exit. The shuttle will act as a pilot car for additional safety. This plan is in place to prevent you from having to come into town to get your luggage (congestion prevention) with your car and to support you riding on the highway to the lot. In addition, SAG support will be available to those riders who wish to load their bike and ride to the lot on the shuttle.
Parking In Town: There is very limited street parking in town. Please use the general lot if at all possible to park. If you do choose to come into town to take your chances, do not park in any area with a NO PARKING sign. These are there for the safety of traffic, riders, and clearance for large Charter Buses to make their way through town. It is essential that these no parking signs are adhered to.
