The city of Lancaster is proud to offer the fast growing sport of golf croquet as a team building, light exercise and fun amenity to the parks and recreation agenda of community sports activities.
The modern game is not the game you played as a child. A worldwide network organizes casual play, tournaments, playoffs and national championships. We intend to play the casual game of Golf Croquet, with an emphasis on team building, recreation and skill development.
Golf Croquet is an ideal game for beginners, as it can be picked up in a mater of minutes, it offers social interaction, good fellowship and 35 to 40 minutes in the fresh air.
The game is played much like a skins game in golf. Two people on a team , two teams play each other. Players take turns playing (or striking) there ball, Blue, Red, Black,Yellow. Play continues in the same order until he end of the game. The first team to score, or run the wicket wins the point, then all players try to score the next wicket. The first team to score 7 wickets wins.
Golf Croquet is an excellent team building group activity. As many as 4 to 8 teams can play at once, in 1 and half hours we can accommodate 16 or more players. Play can be structured as a tournament to determine a champion team, with bragging rights and a trophy too boot.
