A Pet Memorial for Frankenstein🪽

This has been one of the most meaningful and challenging undertakings of my career so far, and one that asked for every ounce of care I could give🤲

Dogs like Frankenstein carry a unique complexity through the preservation process - dense fat and grease, heavy bones, strong muscle, each requiring long, patient cycles of cleansing to reach a place of stability🦴✨

Their bodies hold so much life in them, and that life leaves traces that take time to gently ease into stillness.

Every species brings its own obstacles, its own delicate demands.

The labor, the materials, the hours spent tending to each stage — none of it is simple.

And yet the understanding and trust I receive from my clients makes every moment worthwhile.

It reminds me that this work is not just technical; it is deeply human🫂

Thank you for your trust 🖤

When I handle the remains of a beloved companion, my intention is always the same: to create a resting state that feels like a soft transition from motion to quiet that we as their caregivers can remain grounded with.

A place where love can settle and stay🙏

It is an honor to preserve this bond — not as an object, but as a continuation of the love that shaped a life.

𝒜 𝓅ℯ𝓉 𝓂ℯ𝓂ℴ𝓇𝒾𝒶𝓁 𝒻ℴ𝓇 𝒶 𝒸𝒶𝓉 𝓃𝒶𝓂ℯ𝒹 𝒯𝒽ℴ𝓇🪽

Her owner .angell requested a full skeletal cleaning along with clay and ink paw prints🐾

Each memorial box includes a jar of whiskers, a small tuft of their fur, and all of the smaller bones and claws.

Memorials are a long process, to be done with care and meticulous detail; from collecting the prints carefully to getting the bones cleaned and placed in the box✨

ℰ𝓋ℯ𝓇𝓎 𝒹ℯ𝓉𝒶𝒾𝓁 𝓂𝒶𝓉𝓉ℯ𝓇𝓈.

“The ITᔕY ᗷITᔕY 🕷️ went up the water spout💧, down came the 🌧️ and washed the spider out🙅‍♀️, out came the ☀️ and dried up all the rain, and the ITᔕY ᗷITᔕY 🕷️ went up the spout again.”

Her name is Tonya and although not very “𝘪𝘵𝘴𝘺 𝘣𝘪𝘵𝘴𝘺”…she is “𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲”, ᒪOᐯᗴᔕ TO ᑕᖇOᑕᕼᗴT, and is a little sensitive so be kind to her in the comments🫶

I 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘩𝘦𝘥 this piece and it is 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗲✅

By far one of my most favorite creations I’ve made combining multiple new mediums I’ve recently been exploring and playing with.

Each passion project I undergo always helps strengthen my skill set for what’s next👀
