Folks - due to a combination of lack of available staffing/volunteers and low turnout, the Crappie Flop for this year will not take place. Any registrations will be refunded today. Apologies for those who were planning on it, and THANK YOU to those who had planned to come out and support.

The 2022 Crappie Flop is set! We will be at Lake Marion in Lakeville, MN again as we were last year. Date is Saturday January 15th, which is "take a kid fishing" day meaning kids and their parents don't need licenses. We will have extra fishing gear for kids/families to use. Prizes will be similar with a crappie focus but with an added category for longest fish overall. One Hundred Percent of proceeds will go to youth rugby in Minnesota, including Eagan Rugby and Metropolis Youth Rugby, with our initial major sponsors being Metropolis Rugby Club and Booshie Inc. at this stage.

Today is the day! We encourage everyone to register by simply sending registration via PayPal at the link below and indicate flop in the note as well as the names of whoever you are registering. We will also have a QR code on site, and if needed take credit or cash. We ask that masks be worn inside the registration tent. Look for a 10x20 canopy with Eagan rugby on the exterior. We will have free hot chocolate for the kids until it runs out. BBQ Sammy's and chips, and a 50/50 raffle with half the prices going to the winners along with some great swag giveaway. Raffle drawing will be held at 2:30 and must be present to win.

UPDATE: Forecasters are calling for a high of 32 and light snow on Saturday, which should make for good conditions. Prizes will be as follows in percentage of proceeds (50% overall goes to youth rugby, 50% to prizes), based on length (crappie only):

1st Place: 20%
2nd Place: 15%
3rd Place: 10%
Smallest: 5%

And remember, kids under 12 may participate at no cost - we'll have rugby-related giveaways for the kids.
