Current President of the
Arthur M. Godfrey Aviation Foundation, Inc. Joseph Gleason has taken over the aviation foundation and will have control of the board in making all the decisions and the direction of the foundation. It is my desire that the foundation is successful and garners much support from all who graciously supported my vision. My hopes are: Arthur Godfrey can be remembered for the passion he had and instilled in me and millions of others for aviation. Perhaps he can use this foundation do continue to do so... President J.R. Hafer has announced he must take a temporary leave of absence from office. Executive director and Vice president Joseph Gleason has taken over the aviation foundation and will have control of the board in making decisions and of the direction of the foundation.

Brigadier General Arthur M. Godfrey...

Did you know that just before he died Arthur Godfrey was made a Brigadier General in the United States Air Force Reserve? He had Resigned his commission in the US Navy Reserve and at the behest of the United States Air Force become a Colonel in the USAF to aid in the Recruitment of Air Force and a spokesman for the aviation programs. Arthur later was awarded his star by his long time friend General Curtis E. Lemay at the United States Air Force Academy in 1979 in front of the Cadet Corps. General Arthur M. Godfrey Died four years later.

Hi,
Having looked at the aims of the Arthur M Godfrey Foundation, I
wonder if you would be interested in the joint aviation memoir 'Two Up'
written by myself and my identical twin brother. We were both aviation enthusiasts from our schooldays, taking photographs of aircraft and learning about them with no expectation of
learning to fly, let alone owning aircraft.

We are both aeronautical engineers (both Fellows of the Royal Aeronautical Society), pilots and aircraft photographers. I used to be Head of Future Projects at Westland Helicopters, the UK helicopter
manufacturer; my brother is currently working in Australia and has acted at the level of Chief of Australian Defence Science when his boss is away.

I am also author of a five volume regional survey, British Built Aircraft, which catalogues all the companies in Britain that have built aircraft - from 1908 to 2005 when the last volume was published. My
other books include Cessna 172: A Pocket History and Piper Cherokee: A Family History.

We have had a lot of fun out of aviation over the last 50 years, and this, with our photography, is
reflected in our joint memoir 'Two Up'. I attach a sample story 'I can manage the signature' that could only happen to identical twins.

A letter by an AMERICAN AIRLINES' PILOT, I hope you Take 5 minutes to read this - it's well worth you're time. there is No name calling, no hatred, no political agenda. Just the AMERICAN AIRLINES' PILOT SPEAKING HIS MIND A COCERN WE ALL HAVE AND WISH WE DIDN'T REGARDING MUSLIMS.

This pilot hit the nail right on the head in his open letter. A newspaper stated that
some Muslim doctor is saying we are profiling him because he has been checked three times while getting on an airplane. The following is a letter from a pilot.

This well-spoken man, who is a pilot with American Airlines, says what is in his heart, beautifully.
