-5 with wind chill and below is where the RRCA (Road Runner Clubs of America), Alpine Runners, and other running groups think, “Nope! Let’s do something other than run outside today.” Saturday will be -2 with windchill at 7am so Alpine will be on, and up to 5 degrees by 10am for the Alliners running the Frozen Tundra IPA 5k. Layer up, warm up before going out, and take it easy if you have any extra health concerns, like asthma. 👍

It’s race day!! See you at the starting line!!

Race Start Times

10 Mile - Race Time: 7:30 am. Line up starts at 7:15 AM

5K - Race Time: 7:45 am. Line up starts at 7:35 AM

Youth Mile & 1/2 Mile Fun Run Time: 9:15 AM (Both races run concurrently). Line up starts at 9 AM.

Kids Fun Runs: 9:30 AM or after completion of youth mile

Race Start Location: Oak St. and Old Rand Road in Lake Zurich, IL. Same as last year.

The race packet includes Alpine performance participant T-Shirt and race bib. The race medals will be waiting for you at the finish line!

Location: Road Runner Sports, 20291 N Rand Rd, Suite 105, Kildeer, IL 60074

Dates and time:

- Friday, August 16th, 4-7PM.
- Saturday, August 17th, 10 AM to 2 PM.

Race Day Packet Pick up: Breezewald Park park from 6:00am-7:00am.

Pre-registration at www.runsignup.com/alpineraces is highly recommended to guarantee shirt sizing.

Youth mile and Kids Fun Run packet pick-up is open from 6:00-8:45am on race day.
