The Tradition of Street Painting

Traced back to 16th century Italy when itinerant artists would use their chalks to transform pavement into a makeshift canvas, street painting has retained its appeal through the centuries. As in ages past, crowds gather to watch as fine works of art emerge. The “paintings” last only until the next rain, but the lively spirit and accessibility of the exhibition captivates audiences and inspires lasting memories.

🎨✨ Remember, there is stress free parking for the 32nd Annual Lake Worth Beach Street Painting Festival at Palm Beach State College's Lake Worth Campus located at 4200 South Congress Ave.! ✨ 🎨 Park and take the FREE shuttle to Downtown Lake Worth Beach! 🚌

Parking is FREE, the shuttle is FREE! The shuttles will run from 10 AM to 6 PM on Saturday & Sunday!

In its 32nd year, the 2026 Lake Worth Beach Street Painting Festival features hundreds of artists using the streets of Lake Worth Beach as their canvas to transform downtown into a temporary outdoor museum of original art and masterpiece productions.

🖌️ Get ready to humm with excitement! This FREE event transforms the streets of Lake Worth Beach into a colorful outdoor masterpiece. Hundreds of artists will create stunning works of art directly on the pavement—just like a 16th-century Italian tradition brought to life in 2025!

🚗 Road Closures:
Plan ahead! Several roads downtown will be closed starting Friday, February 21, at 6 AM through Sunday, February 23, at 10 PM. Check the list to avoid any hiccups.
• Lake Ave. from South Dixie Hwy to South Federal Hwy.
• Lucerne Ave from North Dixie Hwy to North Federal Hwy.
• J,K,L,M, Streets from 2nd Ave. North to 1st Ave. South.

🚗 Parking is limited downtown.
🚆 Take Tri-Rail with Festival Shuttles looping from the Lake Worth Beach station.
🚌 Use the FREE Park & Ride at Palm Beach State College, with shuttles running to City Hall in downtown!

We'll have a Dalmatian Plantation! Between great help from my daughter, the weather and the crowds, this year’s Chalkfest in Maple Grove, Minn., was spot on!
