Lake Forest Day Parade Grand Marshal Alvin McRae

Al McRae had his 100th birthday in May of 2025 and was unable to attend the parade due to a cold and an abundance of caution. The McRae family are Lake Forest legends. Al’s Mom was Christina Walker McRae who died on April 5, 2001, at the age of 105 years old. Al’s dad, Alexander, died at the beginning of World War 2 in 1939. Al’s brothers, the late Lt. Earl McRae (1942) and Ensign Duncan McRae (1944) died defending our country and names our honored-on Lake Forest Veterans Memorial Monument. Al’s daughter, Kimberly McRae, stepped in for her father as grand marshal. Thank you, Al for being the 2025 Grand Marshal!
