Thank you all so much for how you have poured your hearts into our community through 22 years of the Earthwork Harvest Gathering. May we continue to connect and grow. May these ripples continue to spread where they need to go. We send our deepest gratitude and wish you all love and blessings. See you down the road.

The sun has risen on a chilly morning. Children run and play on the dewy grass, while adults who wish for that boundless energy blearily begin the work of cleaning up and returning the grounds to a working farm.

Up till 4 am, singing hearts out in the barn or around the fire, but now life returns to normal, and we must find ways to bring the spirit of this place into our everyday lives.

Earthwork Harvest Gathering has been a turning point in the calendar since 2001.
But now we take that spirit of cooperation, collaboration and lifelong learning out into a world where we have to balance our realities and our ideals, while knowing we aren't returning here like this again to refill our cups to the brim with love, light and music.

Now the cows and the bees need tending just as much as our hearts. Life goes on. It's up to you to make the most of it.

Thank you for being a part of our story.
And we will see each other again.

Day one of the final Earthwork Harvest Gathering is in the books.

Now we enter Saturday: the biggest, grandest, busiest day of our fellowship.

There's still time to buy a day pass and join your people for an unforgettable whirlwind of music, food, and soul enrichment.

We're drinking out of a firehose of love, and we want you with us. 💕

Maybe we should have called this year the Reaping: we're bringing it all back home.

The sun has risen on the first day of the last Earthwork Harvest Gathering. ☀️

The cars and trucks are pouring into the grounds. The smell of fresh coffee and new mown hay fills the air. Reunions are around every bend in the winding farm lanes.

Sound checks are locking in the sound, preparing for the imminent explosion of melody from three stages.

The vendors and volunteers raise their tarps, lay out their wares or their workshop materials, getting ready for a busy day under the northern sun.

Music starts at 3:00pm, so there is still time to come up and join us on Earthwork Farm in Lake City for a weekend you won't soon forget.

Harvest rocks. Literally… here is longtime volunteer Timothy Young standing on the giant rock he placed in this field himself.

Come soak in the rays of the last summer sunshine.

‘After the Tone: A Place to Honor the Gathering.’

This interactive installation calls upon those that have attended Harvest Gathering and are looking for somewhere to send their gratitude and memories as this chapter comes to an end. Find the tent in The Commons this weekend and leave a message on the blue “rotary phone” where your message will be recorded. Each side of the four-sided pyramid tent will feature a painted motif that symbolizes a different gift from past Harvest Gatherings. The gifts can be interpreted as: growing together through art & play, honoring & protecting the Earth, remembering purpose, and restoring balance with reflection.

Our Story

Earthwork Harvest Gathering is a celebration of music & community, a family-friendly cultural event in its 18th year, held at Earthwork Farm just outside Lake City, Michigan. Join us on September 21-23, 2018!

Earthwork Harvest Gathering is built with the intention to cultivate personal and cultural transformation. Our hope is that each year it becomes a stronger platform for co-creating our evolving local culture, and a more powerful incubator for activism. Beyond being a great time, we work to create a safe space where all people are respected and where we can build together for a future that will serve and lift us all, especially those most vulnerable.
