Most people know The Bean Market as a venue for weddings, meetings, and special events, but we're also proud to be part of Community Museum Society, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting history throughout our community.

As the sponsor of National History Day in the P*e Dee Region, we are thrilled to recognize three outstanding students who earned top honors at the South Carolina State Contest and will represent our region at the National Contest in Maryland next week!

We also want to recognize P*e Dee Region Coordinator Sherri Moore, who was recently honored with the Dr. Ron Ingle South Carolina History Day Teachers' Award for her outstanding work with students and dedication to the National History Day program.

To celebrate their achievement, Community Museum Society recently placed a billboard recognizing these exceptional students and their hard work.

For years, the Bean Market, operated by the nonprofit Community Museum Society, has proudly hosted the Lake City Farmers Market—creating a space that supports local agriculture, small businesses, and talented vendors in our community.

As we head into the 2026 season, we’re excited to share that the Lake City Farmers Market will now be hosted at The Culinary Commons! 🎉

We believe this is going to be an incredible collaboration and partnership—bringing even more visibility, foot traffic, and opportunity for our local farmers, makers, and entrepreneurs.
