The LAGUNA BEACH MUSIC FESTIVAL is a multi-day series of classical and contemporary concerts, community engagement programs, and dynamic special events.

BRINGING MUSIC (AND AUDIENCES) TO LAGUNA
Laguna Beach Music Festival is a week-long event in scenic Laguna Beach, California. Co-presented by Laguna Beach Live! and the Philharmonic Society of Orange County, it draws from across Southern California and beyond, although it is firmly rooted in the arts-aware community of Laguna Beach. The Festival earns strong support from the City of Laguna Beach a

nd its hospitality industry as it attracts day-trip and overnight visitors during the off-season. FESTIVAL CONCERTS
Concerts are held at Laguna Playhouse, located a few blocks from the beach, within easy walking distance of hotels, restaurants, shops and galleries. Thursday Feb 9 features American composer-performer Edgar Meyer; Friday Feb 10 highlights Joshua Bell’s unique artistry; Saturday Feb 11 and Sunday Feb 12 concerts feature Festival musicians in adventurous cross-genre repertoire including classical, bluegrass and more. Key to any successful music festival are the social gatherings that foster inquiry and foment fun, where concert goers mix and mingle with performers and each other. The annual Opening Night Salon (Feb 6) at Hotel Laguna introduces Festival musicians to the community in an informal performance and reception. A rare musical treat is the Private Salon with Joshua Bell (Feb 8), an intimate event in an elegant private Laguna home. The Festival Feast (Feb 10) is a gourmet pre-concert dinner and post-concert reception on stage with Joshua Bell. Prior to Festival there are several kick-off events and fundraisers in support of the Music Festival and music education. THE “ARTFUL VIOLINS” PROJECT
The Artful Violins is a visual arts project of Laguna Beach Music Festival. Each year, respected local artists are invited to create a unique art object from an actual violin – these beautiful works of art are then displayed in Laguna Beach galleries and then auctioned online to support the Festival. MUSIC TABLE
A hallmark of the Festival is the Music Table, bringing together artists and audiences in intimate, informal settings. At the Music Table, a daily social hour at Hotel Laguna, musicians, music lovers and music industry insiders gather to discuss topics of concert to the music world today. This unique program captures the spirit of the Festival, allowing musicians to learn from each other and from concert goers, who in turn benefit from “up close and personal” contact with world-class artists. 2012 Guest Artistic Director
Grammy Award-winning violinist Joshua Bell has enchanted audiences worldwide with his breathtaking virtuosity and tone of rare beauty. He came to national attention at age 14 in concert with the Philadelphia Orchestra; soon a Carnegie Hall recital, the prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant, and a recording contract with Sony Classical confirmed his genius. In addition to numerous classical recordings, he has become a household name thanks to his many soundtracks including Oscar-winner The Red Violin. His release Romance of the Violin was named the 2004 Billboard Classical CD of the Year; he has crossed musical borders to work with jazz, folk and bluegrass artists and is appreciated by all as a brilliant virtuoso of once-in-a-generation talent.

Good morning, Laguna Beach! As part of our community engagement events today, Festival artists Yoonah Kim, Kevin Ahfat, and the Parker Quartet performed and answered questions from enthusiastic Laguna Beach Seniors at the Susi Q. The room was packed! Thank you to everyone in attendance!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the 2026 Festival Prelude at the Laguna Art Museum! Attendees were able to meet Festival Artistic Director Stefan Jackiw, enjoy hors d'oeuvres and drinks, and were treated to music by a quartet from the Philharmonic Society's Orange County Youth Symphony as well as a special performance by Festival artists Stefan Jackiw, Kevin Ahfat, and Yoonah Kim, with guest artist Oriana Geis-Falla.
