I have 8 of these wooden ramped hive stands. I was keeping them for a customer that use to use them but no linger keeps bees. They sell new dor $20. Just an update to some of you that ordered overwintered nucs from me. Its been a weird spring. Temps up and down and lots of rain. I will have every nuc that has been ordered but unfortunately many of my hives have swarmed, taking their overwintered queens with them. I will have SOME more soon but most of the remaining orders will have to wait for this years queens. Its not fair for me to sell them as "overwintered" then make you wait for new queens. Prices will be reduced accordingly very soon.

As many of you know, in NY beekeepers are required to register their operations with the state at no charge. This can help inspectors notify them in cases where neighbors have been found to have hives with AFB. Its quick and easy to do on line. As part of the same program, anyone selling bees or queens is required to have their operation inspected to help prevent spreading AFB. Tomorrow I will have one of my yards inspected at 10 am. Any beekeeper that is interested in attending can get a taste of whats involved and meet our NYS apiary inspector. If you would like to join us let me know and I can give you the location to meet. Please come with jacket or veil, no hive tools and no smokers. Pictures are welcome. It would also be an opportunity to get on his list if you want to have your own bees inspected.

I will bee heading to the Maxant factory Monday. I have negotiated a deal on some of their 9 frame electric extractors, among some other equipment. Maxant has redesigned the 3100P and the ones Im getting are the original design. The regular price, including legs, is $1060. My price to you will be $900. If this is something you are interested in, please let me know ASAP. I will pick up an extra to put your name on. If you are in need of ANY Maxant equipment, let me know and I can see if they have it in stock for me to pick up.

I am going to be doing a little more upgrading this year. The 24" Maxant clarifier Ive been using does an amazing job. It makes extracting MUCH easier. Using screen filters has no longer been necessary but as Ive increased my number of hives, the smaller clarifier just cant keep up with my extractors. There is always a bottleneck so Im getting a bigger clarifier. The 24" Maxant is for sale. There are no dents, damage, or leaks. This one even has a cover. Most dont. The heater works as it should. This unit sells new for $1800. I am.asking $1200. If you have never used a clarifier I will just say its a game changer. Let me know if you are interested. They are a very simple type of unit and what you see is what you get excwpt Im keeping the pvc valve ro use on the new one. This COULD even double as a bottling tank if you wanted.
