After 12 amazing years of Maryland DogFest, which is 84 dog years 😀, it’s time for us to hang up our leashes. We’re wishing everyone a happy farewell, as this was our final Maryland DogFest.

As we leave after a great final event, we have nothing but a heart full of gratitude for all our attendees, vendors, exhibitors, non-profit groups, and sponsors over the years. Reflecting on the last 12 years, we are reminded of the countless wagging tails, happy faces, and heartfelt moments that have defined Maryland DogFest.

From watching hundreds of dogs find their fur-ever homes to being a part of thousands of people and their dogs making new connections, it has been a true privilege to host this event.

We hope you and your families have as many unforgettable memories at Maryland DogFest as we’ve had with all of you!

We welcome all leashed dogs to attend Maryland DogFest with their owners, but there are a few things you should know if you are planning to bring your dog with you this weekend:

🐾 Dogs must be well-mannered. If your dog gets nervous around large crowds or does not interact well with people or other dogs, please leave them at home.
❌ No female dogs in heat.
🐾 All dogs must be kept on a leash (no longer than 6 ft.) or in a dog-friendly enclosure (stroller, etc.).
❌ No retractable leashes.
🐾 Dogs should be wearing a collar with proper ID.
🐾 Dogs must be up-to-date on all vaccinations.
🐾 Owners/handlers are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs.
🐾 Owners/handlers must sign our liability waiver for each dog before entering the event.

If you are planning to bring your pup, save some time at the gates by reviewing, printing, and filling out a liability waiver in advance and bringing it to Maryland DogFest THIS weekend (April 27 and 28) at the Charles County Fairgrounds in La Plata, MD.
