REACHING OUT TO OUR PNER FAMILY ON BEHALF OF OUR FELLOW MEMBER SUZY ZURCHER-TOMPKINS - LAVA CAST FOREST MEMORIAL ENDURANCE RIDE
Hoping you all can send some support for our fellow ride manager, ride volunteer and rider Suzy Zurcher-Tompkins. As you all know they have a family medical situation ... her husband Brian has been diagnosed with a glioblastoma brain cancer/tumor, they have just started radiation and chemotherapy in hopes to give them all more precious time together.
Suzy has been a long standing PNER/AERC member for years and has managed, has volunteered many hours helping so many rides and riders and ridden along side of many of us.
We can help them out now by sending some gift cards to assist with the cost of food and fuel, etc. They will be traveling to Bend 5 days a week for many weeks so access to gift cards would mean so much in helping them out.
VISA gift cards, local grocery store gift cards, etc. - there is a Ray's Market, Grocery Outlet in LaPine and they can shop in Bend at Costco, WalMart and Safeway.
Our favorite ride veterinarians Dr. Cassee Terrie and Dr. Shannon Findley and their clinics are there to assist in the collection of gift cards at their clinics and our new PNER President Darlene Merlich can collect gift cards at the PNER Convention this weekend in Pendleton.
Please make sure to put them in envelopes with Suzy's name and the name of the vet/clinic you are dropping them off at and for Darlene put Suzy's name on the envelope too. We will make sure to collect them up and get them to Suzy and her family. If you are not located in Central Oregon or you are not able to attend the convention and want to send some help her way please message me (Holly Rouska) and I will provide a mailing address.

It is with heavy hearts that the 2026 Lava Cast Forest Memorial Endurance Ride will not take place this year.
Suzy Zurcher-Tompkins has a family medical situation that requires her full attention.
Laura Spear will be taking the reins as the Ride Manager for the Still Prineville Trails Weekend.
We will miss seeing you all in September, and we wish you all an amazing year with your ponies!

WOW!!!!! What an amazing weekend!! I am soooo very thankful for the stellar team that has so much knowledge and passion about our sport, that made Lava Cast such a fun ride for everybody!!!! My Hubby Brian, Holly and Les, Cheri, Lianne, Pat and her husband, Beth and Don, Noel, Leroy and Sam, Kara, Janelle, and I know there are more! I can't thank you all enough for your help and support! I can't wait for next year's fun! Thank you to all the riders and their families! Thank you to Mark "The P**p King' for providing the manure trailer, the camp was left very clean! Thank you all for cleaning up! I just have to say....Crab and Ribs for dinner at a ride!!! Wow! The Frontier Days folks really out did themselves!!! I can't wait to hear what they have in store for us next year! I also want to send out healing thoughts to LuAnn's mare to heal up well!

LAVA CAST FOREST ENDURANCE RIDE & CTR LOOPS TO DOWNLOAD AND TENTATIVE START TIMES - Get ready to ride!!!
55 Milers - you will need to download the 15 Mile Red Loop, 20 Mile Orange Loop and the 16 Mile Green Loop - same for both Saturday and Sunday - the forest service restricted some of this loop plus add the RVT damage there is some areas of rock and ruts. Tentative Start Time both days 6:30 am
Saturday LD - 30 milers - you will need the 20 mile orange loop and 10 mile blue loop
Sunday LD - 25 miles - 15 mile red loop and 10 mile blue loop (same as Saturday). Tentative Start Time both days 7:30 am
CTR Riders - Sunday - you will need to download the 15 mile red loop and the 10 mile blue loop. Tentative start time 8:30 am
