🤍 From the La Joya ISD Family,
With deep sadness, La Joya ISD mourns the passing of Mr. Emilio Cantú, a pioneer of our district’s mariachi program and a beloved educator whose legacy will live on for generations.

Mr. Cantú devoted his life to creating opportunities for students through music, culture, and pride in their heritage. What began as a program to support and uplift students grew into a movement that transformed countless lives and helped establish La Joya ISD as home to one of the most respected mariachi programs in Texas and beyond.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the Cantú family and to all who were touched by his life and his work. His impact will forever remain part of the La Joya ISD story. 🎶

🎃 La Joya High School Spooktacular Concert 2025! 👻✨

This week, the stage came alive as students from La Joya High School, along with Dr. Javier Saenz MS, Cesar Chavez Middle School, and Lorenzo De Zavala Middle School, delivered an unforgettable Spooktacular Concert! 🎶💀

The audience was swept away by a night full of thrilling performances, creative costumes, and plenty of Halloween spirit. From haunting harmonies to fun festive tunes, our talented musicians showcased their passion and teamwork under the direction of their amazing music directors. 🎺🎻🥁
