The American College Theatre Festival (ACTF) proudly announces the recipients of the 2026 National Production Awards and Meritorious Commendations, recognizing outstanding achievement in collegiate theatre across the United States. These honors celebrate work from the distinguished invited productions presented at the eight regional festivals and highlight exceptional artistry, innovation, and collaboration among student artists, faculty mentors, and theatre programs nationwide. Selected from hundreds of productions performed at colleges and universities across the country in 2025, the award-winning works represent the highest level of creative excellence showcased through ACTF.

Dear ACTF Community,
Congratulations on a remarkable year of transformation!
In an effort to better accommodate the diverse schedules of our students and faculty and to ensure our reach is as broad as possible, we are shifting our online celebration format. This year, we will be announcing all awards through our official website and social media platforms.
By moving to a digital rollout across our social channels, we aim to:
Ensure accessibility: Making sure no one misses out on the recognition they deserve due to time zone or scheduling conflicts.
Increase visibility: Giving our "shout-outs" to rising scholars and artists a permanent, shareable spotlight.
Cast a wider net: Allowing friends, family, and colleagues across the nation to receive the information in an equitable and accessible way.
Looking Ahead
In this transitional moment, we are deeply encouraged by the immense talent and rigorous work presented across our regions. The creativity we’ve witnessed doesn’t just represent the present American theatre— it is the heartbeat that will sustain the future of our organization and our entire theatre community for years to come. As our National chair Brad Dell has reminded us time and again,“You are our ‘ghostlight’.”
