🇺🇸 SEPTEMBER 11 — PATRIOT DAY 🇺🇸
We Remember. We Honor. We Will Never Forget.

Twenty-five years later, the pain of September 11, 2001, has not disappeared.

We remember the lives that were taken from us far too soon.
We remember the families who kissed their loved ones goodbye that morning, never knowing it would be the last time.
We remember the firefighters who ran into the burning towers while others were running out.
We remember the police officers, paramedics, emergency workers, military members, and ordinary Americans who answered the call without hesitation.

And we remember the silence that fell over our nation—followed by a strength that could not be broken.

For a moment, Americans stood together. There were no political parties. No divisions. No strangers.

We were simply Americans.

Flags appeared on front porches. Communities came together. Americans lined up to give blood, help their neighbors, and support those who were hurting.

And thousands of our sons and daughters raised their right hands and answered the call to defend a nation that had been attacked.

Many never came home.

Others came home carrying wounds that could not always be seen.

Today, we remember every life lost, every family changed, every first responder who sacrificed, and every service member who carried the fight forward.

We also remember that freedom is not free.

As members of The American Legion, we have a responsibility to ensure that the sacrifices of others are never forgotten. We must continue to honor those who served, care for our veterans, support their families, and teach the next generation what it means to stand together as Americans.

🇺🇸 We remember the fallen.
🇺🇸 We honor the heroes.
🇺🇸 We stand with our veterans.
🇺🇸 We cherish our freedom.
🇺🇸 And we will NEVER forget.

God bless the families who lost loved ones.
God bless our first responders.
God bless our veterans and active-duty service members.
And God bless the United States of America. 🇺🇸

Congratulations to our September Veteran of the month Mr. John Christy. Your dedication to our country, our Veterans, their families and our community is worthy of recognition. We honor and thank you Sir. Congratulations!

If you would like to nominate a veteran for our Veteran of the month award, give your nomination to the bartender on duty, give it to our commander Ms Myra Johnson or drop it in the black drop slot of the post office door.

Nomination should include:

1. Name of Veteran being nominated
2. Reason for nomination
3. Put it in a sealed envelope addressed to the commander

Thank you for helping us recognize our Veterans who continue to make a difference.
