Stoplight City Shootout Long Drive Event

It was a great event at the 2016 Stoplight City Shootout. The Rockwell Tour event sported a strong field, with hitters taking it deep all day with numbers surpassing 400!
There were experienced hitters and names you recognize at previous events like Allen, Champion, Swinford, Hunt, Christman, and new youthful talent in sport like Collin Phillips, Danny Mikrut, Cody Jansen, and Andrew Eigner. Also a name to watch for in Long Drive is Ryan Newell who competed in his first event at the SCSO, who is just north of 40 and will soon be gunning for the 45+ age division.
It was another great showing from 20 year old Danny Mikut with a 2nd place finish, who previously came onto the Long Drive scene last month in Memphis at the BluffCity Shootout.
There were great match ups in the finals, with Allen going 401 and Hunt going 391, and also in the match between Krisher and Phillips with each hitter getting 4 balls in the grid over 350, but Phillips edging out Krisher 361-355.
When it came to the end of the day, it was Collin Phillips walking away with the win, the crystal trophy, and the winners watch from Rockwell Watch Company.

Current hitters list for the Stoplight City Shootout. Had some guys drop out do to injury, but we're still looking good for Saturday.
Still have a couple guy's who may make it last minute that the door is open for, so groups will be released Friday night in case they can.

Format is still seeding rounds of hitting, then match for the finals. Going to be a great event, and LDMagazine will be there as well.
First balls fly at 9am, travel safe everyone.

ATTENTION: It has been decided, to help alleviate cost for competitors we will be eliminating the $250 play in event for Friday, and dropping the entry fee of the 2016 Stoplight City Shootout presented by the Rockwell Long Drive Tour to $300!

YES $300!!!... With the 2016 SCSO being in between 2 World qualifiers, we thought it would be a great opportunity to draw more guys at less cost for them, and continue the momentum going into the final months of the Long Drive season going into Worlds!
