The Kohler Co. is a leader in kitchen and bath plumbing fixtures, furniture & tile.

Our company’s founder, John Michael Kohler, was an Austrian immigrant, a businessman and a visionary. In 1873 he purchased a foundry in rural Wisconsin that produced a variety of cast-iron and steel products. Ten years later, Kohler took a product in his line, heated it to 1700°F and sprinkled it with enamel powder. Placing a picture of it in the center of his one-page catalog, he called it “a hor

se trough/hog scalder . . . when furnished with four legs will serve as a bathtub.” Kohler was in the plumbing business. From those humble beginnings, our company has grown into a multifaceted global family of brands that lead the way to enhance our customers’ sense of gracious living.

Did you know? 💡 Our world-class Kohler Hospitality team is home to the Kohler Waters Spa Professional School of Massage Therapy?

Founded in January 2023, the school is part of our five-star spa in Kohler, Wisconsin, and offers an immersive and comprehensive education that prepares aspiring therapists for a thriving career in wellness. Through our flexible ten-month program, students gain hands-on experience and learn from industry experts in a world-renowned spa setting.

Today, more than 30 current massage therapists across our Kohler Waters Spa locations in WI and IL are graduates of our home-grown program.

“Being part of people’s wellness experiences at Kohler is so rewarding to me,” said graduate Jodi Gerk. “We have an opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives and enable our own careers to flourish, as well.”

What an epic week at Whistling Straits as we welcomed more than 500 student-athletes, coaches, parents and sponsors for the 2025 PGA WORKS Collegiate Championship (PWCC). 🏌️💫

This is our second of a six-year partnership with PGA of America and PGA REACH-which includes sponsoring the PWCC and its corresponding Beyond the Green career event, providing scholarship grants, and hosting the championship again in 2029.

The PWCC is considered the most culturally significant championship in collegiate golf, designed to highlight competitive golf programs at underrepresented minority-serving institutions and promote careers in the business of golf and beyond.

"It's all about growing the game, building the game, making the game more inclusive," said David Kohler. "We're honored to partner with the PGA Reach Foundation and contribute our time, resources, and championship venue in service of student-athletes."

Inaugurated last year, the Tribute Garden is a place of community, reflection, and remembrance, featuring water fountains crafted in our own cast iron foundry and stations sharing the moving stories of those who have given back.

Military veterans are an invaluable part of our workforce at Kohler, bringing a unique perspective, leading boldly, and uniting as a team toward a shared purpose. This Veterans Day, and every day, we salute our brave and selfless associates who have served, are currently serving, and will serve.

Georgina Ozga-Dortch has witnessed a great deal of change.

When she started at Kohler as a bookkeeper in 1974, she processed payroll manually on keypunch cards and communicated with coworkers via handwritten notes and typed letters in inter-office mail. Fast forward 20 years and personal computers were introduced, followed by mobile phones.

Over Georgina’s 50-year career, one thing has remained constant—her inspiring work ethic and commitment to Kohler’s mission. And this year, she became the 91st Kohler associate to celebrate a half century of service.

Throughout her tenure, she has been instrumental in many departments, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and most recently, Sales, where she has been a key part of the foundation of our builder channel. With a career spanning five decades (and counting!), Georgina’s achievements are extraordinary and will continue to make an impact for years to come.

A fitting theme for our 2nd Kohler Women’s Leadership Summit, as more than 1,000 Kohler women from around the world came together to challenge, uplift, and inspire one another in their personal and professional journeys.

The global summit featured sessions in the U.S., Mexico, U.K., India, and China, where Kohler’s top women leaders led discussions on topics like finding your inner leader, self-motivation and resilience, balancing work and family, and the historical influence of female empowerment.

Special thanks to our keynote speakers Nina Easton, Karla huerta Valdez, Dr Michelle Penelope King, Claire Williams, Yang Xu, and Gowri Priya Sethuram for their incredible insights on impactful leadership, removing invisible barriers, creating supportive workplaces, and the importance of culture and heritage in inspiring change.
