Happy Independence Day! Dang great day to be an American!

My favorite county fair is less than 2 weeks away! I’m looking for this year’s new event from the pig barn: P*e Wee Showmanship!
We’ve got a great group of showman, mentors and sponsors!
Thanks to supporters Weichman Pig Co., Lely, Marion County Farm Bureau, Two Rivers Co-op, Purina, Craig Clark Construction, Boyert-Core and Iowa Corn 14 swine project members will mentor 14 p*e wees on Sunday July 17 at 4pm. Come see these young’ens (as young as 3 years old) show pigs!

I made it to the Lucas County Fairgrounds to cheer on the kids from the Marion County Fair that qualified for the South Central Iowa Showdown! The crew that puts on this event does an amazing job! The fun starts at 5pm! Come support our crew!
