Junkins Haunted Estate

Junkins Haunted Estate Was the largest non commercial (FREE) Halloween event on the east coast, maybe even the country! Our last year was 2017 after 30 wonderful years.

Was Located at 87 Wilson Road Kittery, Maine and free to kids of all ages. Thank you to all who came out! Over two acres of Halloween decorations await our guests. Don't let the warm fuzzy decorations from the safety of your car fool you, if you want the candy, it's a quarter mile through the haunted swamp! As you follow the luminaries towards the woods and cross the bridge into the swamp. Darknes

s will surround you and the cold swamp air will chill you to your bones, oh by the way, they will be waiting for you!!

2017 was our 30th year and our last for the haunted swamp walk. Our team has gone their different ways and one person cannot do it alone. We will always try to decorate the front lawn each year as long as we can!

I see these great Hallmark Haunted Candles on eBay. Originally $18.00 but now cost twice as much or more. Warning many have been dropped and the tiny flame tip is broken off, so look closely. Also several currently on eBay don’t work and the sellers still want $25.00 plus and another $15.00 for shipping!! The fact is you can’t fix it. Someone made the mistake of putting the batteries in backwards!! The tiny surface mount circuit board on the bottom of the battery compartment is not diode protected and was fried. Again it can not be repaired. Another problem, you will destroy the first candle discovering the secret on how to take the candle apart. So I spent $10.00 on a non working candle with a broken flame, destroyed it learning the trick. Researched online and found a $1.99 replacement with diode protection for the flickering LED circuit. Bought another non working candle for $15.00 plus $5.00 shipping. Fixed it in the time it took for my soldering iron to heat up! I stand corrected they can be saved!
