Nachos! Guests love our nachos! We have taco beef nachos, veggie nachos and chicken enchilada nachos

Today, a guest asked us why there was an armadillo in the Floridillo logo.There are two guard dillos at Kapp and Kappy Bed & Breakfast also. So the dillos are a special creature for Violet.

Anyway, the armadillos are inspired by the former Armadillo World Headquarters in Austin, Texas which had armadillos all over it!

When Violet was young, she lived in Austin,

She spent nights at concerts in the Armadillo World Headquarters
It was a legendary beer garden and music hall in an old armory next to the skating palace.

She heard Jerry Jeff Walker there - Viva Terlingua!

AWH served Tex Mex food like nachos, tostadas & shrimp enchiladas.

Floridillo's Tex Mex kiosk menu is inspired by the original armadillo menu and can be found in the 'test kitchen' today.

Violet drew the first version of the Floridillo logo about 19 years ago.

Dreams take time - especially when you have a herd of turtles building them.

Destined for Infamy has had an emergency and cannot play this evening

Fortunately - one of our "House" musicians - a guitarist named RAMBO is able to fill in - so come rock out w/ Rambo from 5pm - 8pm tonight 🙂

And OMG - these cakes & cupcakes are DELICIOUS - an 18 year old entrepreneur at her first market today is staying at Violet's for a while - please come help her sell her inventory out tonight! Does anyone have a Father's day party in need of deliciousness?
