The Aquadome

The Aquadome A 501(c)(3) non-profit, volunteer-operated venue dedicated to music, art, and community in Kirksville, Missouri. It is, unfortunately, not a water park.

Originally opened in 2000, The Aquadome was brought into Kirksville's community by some folks invested in the DIY and art culture. Throughout the few initial years it was used for hosting potlucks, live music, bike races, comedy troupes, and guest speakers. Nearly a decade later, The Aquadome was reopened with the same spirit. Aimed at serving Kirksville as a center dedicated to music, art, and co

mmunity, it is now run by volunteers to foster a vibrant, dynamic outlet with a creative atmosphere. In 2016, The Aquadome became a recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

Friends of the Aquadome,
We will be moving out of good ol' 120 S. Main St. around the last week of April. We have known we'd need to be leaving our space for a few months now but weren't sure about a final date until this week. This is not about money issues and is also unrelated to recent world health events, just an unfortunate coincidence.
We want to thank every person who has shown up, supported music and arts in the community, made the aquadome feel like their home, and given us so many kind, sweet words through the years. Our hearts are heavy, but they are warm. The aquadome is, above all else, about community, and we will still be around. When it becomes safe to start looking for a new space, we'll be back.
As you may have guessed, the remainder of our March events have been canceled. We hope to see you as soon as it is safe. Stay clean + stay optimistic.
