Just been trying to find words for it. But all I keep coming with is remember the good. We can let one bad play define a season. Or we can take a moment, forget it, and remember all the young ladies accomplished.
All the firsts. All the history. All the great things. The smiles and cartwheels (looking at you Jacie). All the strikeouts on the mound. All the long balls throughout the season. The putting some of the best teams in the state on notice. The growth. The passion. The impact on the future. Never quitting, always fighting, and doing it with a dang smile! These girls were goofy but determined. I learned something from them. I know the girls of the community that came and watched them did too. This team was special, but even more so was what they accomplished. Win or lose.
To Emilee and Lilly, we are so thankful for the time you spent in the red and black. But we are also thankful you get to carry that torch to the next level and we know you will kick butt at Angelina. So proud of you 11 and 3! Keep being yourself and remember nobody can stop you. And Logan, never let anyone stop you from being you. The energy you brought to the dugout was very much needed and very much contagious.
To the rest of the team, I KNOW for a fact that you learned from this. I KNOW that you will be ready for next year. And we will be there the whole step of the way.
This may be the end for this year, but it’s not over for Ladycats softball. Thank you ladies for letting us tag along this season.
Sincerely,
The Ville Sports
