Hey folks, quick reminder, here that our good friends at the Lumberjack Endurance Runs are back this year. Race weekend is quickly approaching and registration closes this Friday. The Lumberjack 100 is one of the Washington Grand Slam races(!) and there’s a 100K and 50 mile, too. Super nice trails in the Kitsap Peninsula at Port Gamble Heritage Park and well supported. https://ultrasignup.com/register.aspx?did=134672

We are so glad to be bringing the race back for 2026! Lumberjack is set for June 6th and 7th! Join us for the 15th edition, and take on either the 50 mile, 100K, or 100M option. Registration is open and early bird pricing ends March 31st, hope to see lots of you out there! Sign up link is below.

Barbie, we feel you!

We know that there are few things more stressful than preparing for an early morning race start AND then figuring out where to get a GOOD cup of coffee when you’re in a new place (or worse, the middle of freaking nowhere)!

THANK YOU to our Official Coffee Sponsor, Caffe’ Perfetto of Bremerton. Returning for their fourth year, Caffe’ Perfetto has you covered. This is REALLY GOOD coffee (and that’s coming from me, the RD, a coffee snob) and YES, it will be ready for the 100K 5am start (yawn).

Race morning coffee is free, tips always appreciated-never expected.

Caffe’ Perfetto in Bremerton is an amazing coffee shop, but so much more. It’s one of those adorable coffee huts that are so well known in the PNW except this one is actually REALLY GOOD. (lol)

Besides the amazing coffee, Owner Bryan Stephenson is a big community organizer. They have a run out of the shop almost every single freaking day (follow local run group Evergreen Turtle Rockets on Facebook for postings). These are nobody gets left behind runs. Weekend runs are often organized for area mountains like Mailbox Peak or pretty much anywhere in the Olympics. On top of that, there are fund raising fun races like the Egg Nog Mile and the monthly trash pick ups. Want to see how much trash you can pick up when you have 10 or more runners pitching in? Impressive is an understatement.

So, THANK YOU to Caffe’ Perfetto (stop on your way through to the race if your travels take you near Bremerton). They are located at 2811 Wheaton Wy, Bremerton, WA. Also, follow them on Facebook. Link in the comments.

How are the legs feeling, all of you Spring Peepers?

Let’s talk about your race plans and the Olympic Mountains 100K which is unlike any other in WA state. We’re talking a TRUE mountain course with over 14,000’ of climbing that traverses many of the most iconic trails in the Olympic National Forest System (Dirt Face Ridge, Dungeness Creek, Mt Zion, the Little Quilcene Trail and others). While steep (AF) in places, the trail surface itself is lovely. Few rocks or roots and with no dirt bike access on most trails, the surface doesn’t get all chewed up. It’s actually a runner’s dream.

This course is a great test for those interested in trying a mountain 100 or those who want that big course experience, but also look forward to sleeping in their own bed (or tent) that night instead of grinding out a death march to dawn. It’s one of the “biggest” 100K courses in the country when you look at the climbing and the course is so interesting and beautiful. This is NOT a loop race and while it’s not a beginner course, the cutoffs are generous. We WANT you to finish!

Now, if you are fast then let’s talk. We have prize money for the top Female and Male finishers. $500/$250/$125 and if we get 100 or more starters, we will double that. Help spread the word and get us sold out this year!!! Please tell your fast friends. While this might be a newer race, it’s 100% quality with ten (10) aid stations run by uber experienced volunteers. Nice swag, finisher prizes for all that cross the line and age group awards for Masters (50+)

Free camping before and after. Join us for a party in the woods and find out what the buzz is about in the Olympic Mountains….there’s No Place like OM…

Olympic Mountains Trail Races-Perks for racers!

We are thrilled that Adam and Cyd of Trailblazer Sports Massage of Poulsbo will again be giving free post-race massages to tired runners in their fourth year supporting the race!

For those of you who haven’t heard the backstory, we met Adam & Cyd in 2022 while at Western States 100 as they worked for the official massage therapists of the race (in fact, they still go down to Auburn and are on the official WSER massage team every June). We invited them to provide massages for the OMTR in 2023 and they loved the experience and our area so much that they packed up, moved here and opened Trailblazer Sports Massage in Poulsbo!!! These two have had their hands on many of the top trail runners in the world (hmm, that sounded a little funny) and have built a strong, loyal following here in the PNW. They are ready to do all the wonderful things to spoil and reward your hardworking body.

And also they have a great offer for registered OMTR runners. Book a pre-race massage in August and take $20 off your service! But don’t wait until August, go see them today and get your own WSER quality massage!

The Olympic Mountains Trail Races are excited to announce a new partnership with ’s Sustainable Racing Program designed to help reduce race day waste!

As always, we are a “cup-less” race, but this year, each runner will receive a reusable HydraPak at packet pickup to carry and use throughout the race. They fold right up and into your pocket! Carrying and reusing your own cups saves so much single-use waste and fits right into our ethos of racing with the most minimal environmental impact possible!

Our amazing volunteers and staff are hard at work to again create a seamless aid station experience for you! At every aid station, they’ll be ready to fill your cup with Skratch Lab hydration drink, water, coke or ginger ale. HydraPak Speed Fill pitchers will get your bottles topped off and get you back on your way in a snap!

Also, every racer will also receive a 20% off discount code to use on HydraPak gear for training and racing! (Their bottles are the only ones we personally use! ❤️)

Want to know more about the OM 100K? This is a true mountain course-just one reason why it meets qualification standards to enter the Crazy Mountain 100.

The OM100K features over 14,200’ of climbing on 80% of beautiful singletrack trails. This is NOT a multi-loop course! This is not an Out and Back course! You will see only a few places more than once and those will never be in the same direction.

The course will take you through iconic PNW trails featuring everything from lush, mossy green goodness to high alpine. You will run along the Dungeness River, Gold Creek, Royal Creek and to the Buckhorn wilderness Boundary in two locations including on the shoulder of Mount Townsend via the Dirty Face Ridge. Save something in the tank for the two biggest climbs -they come in the last third of the race. You will summit Mt Zion 55 miles into the race!

The course low point is 1,091’ and the high point is 5,848’. There are TEN aid stations along the way and experienced and enthusiastic volunteers will be there, ready to help get you to your best finish ever! Featuring a generous 21 hour cutoff, so while this is not an easy course, we DO want you to FINISH!!!

If you are speedy, we have some really nice prize money, too. $500/$250/$125 for the top three Male & Female racers. This will be DOUBLED if we get over 100 STARTERS!!! We think this is a distinct possibility this year. Spread the word!!!

Join us in the Olympic Mountains August 15th & 16th. Registration is open now and we do expect the 100K to sell out before registration closes!

Registration is now open with Early Bird Pricing until February 8th.

True mountain racing in the iconic Olympic Mountains of Washington on August 15 and 16th, 2026.

The OM 100K offers over 14,200' of climbing featuring gorgeous views and 80% sweet singletrack. This is a graduate level course with the hardest two climbs in the last third of the course.

The OM 50K, a PNW favorite since 2019, has almost 9,000' of climbing and 74% singletrack. New this year, we have added a Ruck division which just might make this the toughest 50K trail Ruck race in the Country. There will be a mass start for both runners and ruckers and a 14 hour cutoff for everyone.

The OM 25K returns for the fourth year and is quickly becoming a PNW favorite. The easy parts are really easy and the hard parts are HARD. There is one monster climb about halfway through and a total of 3,700' of climbing. This is a graduate level 25K-a great way to test if you are ready for a 50K. The 25K Ruck returns for a second year!

Introducing the OM 10K! Our newest distance in the OMTR family! About 52% singletrack and 48% fire roads with one aid station at mile 4.9. There is one significant climb with the remainder downhill or rolling. While not an Advanced course, it will still offer a challenge to both new and experienced runners.
Join us the August in the Olympic Mountains and find out why we say… There’s no place like OM!!!

New this year… the OM10K!!!

* The course is just over 10K at 6.56 miles (a 10K is technically 6.2 miles)
* The course is 52% single-track and 48% Fire road
*There is one aid station at mile 4.96
*There is 1,117' of climbing.

There is really just one big climb with a couple "speed bumps" here and there. The 10K is, essentially, the first 5 miles and the last 1.5 miles of our 25K course.

Share with your friends! A great opportunity to dip a toe into the trail racing world without signing up for a “long” race Here is a link to the course.
