KingFest, held annually the first Saturday in October at King Central Park, includes a variety of activities for all ages. Live music performed at the amphitheatre features 50's, oldies, bluegrass and gospel music. Also included in the day's events are arts and crafts, children's activities, a youth fishing tournament, a horseshoe pitching tournament, community-prepared country food, heritage demo

nstrations, miniature train rides, a classic cruise-in car show, kids' Olympics, a corn hole tournament, contests and prize drawings. Admission and parking are free, and parking is adequate for bus tours. King Central Park, located on Kirby Road, is a 17-acre municipal park, with paved walking trails; a stocked fish pond; picnic shelters, restored eighteenth century cabins, a veterans' memorial and an amphitheatre. Directions: From US Hwy 52, take exit 123 and go 1/2 mile toward King. Clark's Restaurant. King Central Park will be on the left. There is a sign and U.S. flag flying at the first entrance to the park. Public parking will be in the amphitheatre lot at the second park entrance.

Cruise - In at KingFest on October 7th. KingFest is from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Our sponsor is Heavy Equipment Repair of King. There will be cash prizes for Best in Show, door prizes and dash plates. Look forward to seeing you there!

Lil’ Miss. & Mr. KingFest
We are pleased to announce our 3rd annual Lil’ Miss. & Mr. KingFest to take place at King Central Park on October 7, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. There are two age categories for this event, ages 3-5 and 6-8. Applicants must be pre registered by Noon on Thursday, September 28 in order to be eligible. There will only be ten positions for each age group 5 girls and 5 boys. In the event we receive more applications then positions, a random drawing will be done at 2:00 p.m.on the 28th to pick the final contestants. Prizes will be given. We are extending the cut off date for some of our age groups for the Lil' Miss & Mr. Contest for Saturday. We currently have spots available for the 6-8 year old girls, and boys 3-5 years old and 6-8 years old boys. We will continue to take applications through Thursday at 2 pm. If we do receive more than 5 for each category we will have a drawing with the applications that were submitted between Tuesday and Thursday at the 2 o'clock cut off. Please call the Chamber Office for more information at 336-983-9308. There are nice prizes for the winners and all the children in the contest will receive a goody bag.
