The Kimmswick Apple Butter Festival is fun for the entire family! It is held each year on the last full weekend of October. It goes from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. The Kimmswick Apple Butter Festival is the largest celebration Kimmswick has each year, hosting over 500 vendors, multiple live entertainment performers, and attracting over 100,00 visitors over the course of 2 days! In addition to the vendors and live entertainment, the City of Kimmswick park will be open to children.

To kick off the weekend, the Kimmswick Historical Society begins preparing their apples on Friday. On the morning of the festival, they fill their kettles with apples, light the wood burning fire, and began cooking the apples by stirring continuously for up to 8 hours until the apple butter spread is thick and fragrant. The apple butter is then placed in jars for sale.

Portable restrooms will be located in several places within the festival. Handicap restrooms will also be available, to include the restrooms inside the Visitor Center.

Currency Options:

Most vendors accept card payments; however, ATMS will be provided within the festival grounds at the Kimmswick City Park (the corner of 5th St. and Beckett St.) Some vendors also offer VENMO, PAYPAL, & CASHAPP options.

Visitor Parking: The field located on the NORTH side of HWY K (weather permitting), Windsor School Campuses with bus shuttle services, Windsor Harbor Rd., and the Anheuser Estate. Parking is normally $5-$20, but can vary depending on proximity. Lower further away, higher closer.

Handicap Parking: For the Kimmswick Apple Butter Festival, take Montebello Road to access limited handicap parking at Windsor Elementary School in Kimmswick. The city also provides handicap-accessible shuttles from designated parking lots, including those at the Windsor High School campus on Highway 61-67, to the festival grounds. Remember to look for signs or ask local police for directions to the available handicap parking areas.

Shuttle Bus Routes run between Windsor Intermediate/High School Campuses and town.

Drop Off Location: 5th & Vine St.

Bus Return Pick Up Locations: 5th at Vine St., AND Front St at Mill St.

*** Buses will continue to run until all cars are gone from the parking lots***
