Jeremy now runs the barbershop spot we once called home, and officially retired in April. Since then, Daniel got his real estate license, joined the family at , and already has a few listings alongside Anabel.

Fast forward to now—our old barber colleague Jeremy decided to jump off his truck and unfortunately ended up with a serious setback. He fractured his right elbow and is still waiting on news about his left wrist. A barber’s worst nightmare to say the least. 💔

Daniel and Anabel—licensed barbers and realtors—are making a temporary comeback to Jefferson St. to help out our buddy Jeremy. As former barbershop owners ourselves, we understand the struggle of keeping those doors open when the unexpected happens. So come see us at the barbershop, help us help Jeremy, and let’s also talk real estate while you’re there!

Stay tuned—we’re planning a fundraiser to help Jeremy during this time. If you’re interested in making a donation, stop by the barbershop where Daniel and Anabel will be there helping run the show and collecting donations on his behalf. ❤️💈

📢 Event Postponement Announcement 📢

To our valued clients and community:

Due to the recent flood events impacting our area, we have made the decision to postpone our Retirement & Customer Appreciation Event that was scheduled for this Sunday, July 13.

Our hearts go out to the families and local businesses who have been affected. As a small business rooted in this community, we want to stand in solidarity and lend our support.

We are working on rescheduling the event and hope to combine it with a benefit to support flood-affected businesses in our area. More details will be shared soon.

Thank you for your understanding, and thank you for being part of the 1962 Barber Co. family. Stay safe and stay strong — we’re in this together. 💈❤️

Big News! 🎉

Daniel has officially crossed over to the real estate side with Anabel! Your former local barbers and owners of 1962 Barber Co are now both fully dedicated to helping you with all your real estate needs. 🏡✂️➡️🏘️

After years behind the chair, we’ve officially retired the clippers but not without deep gratitude for the incredible support you’ve shown us.

Our community has truly grown with us you’ve watched us go from a small corner at Five Points, to buying our first building and turning it into a full-blown barbershop with a speakeasy bar hidden in the back, and eventually transforming that entire building into what used to be La Escondida. For all of that support over the years we are immensely grateful.

And now, we can’t wait to help other business owners chase their own business and real estate goals. 🙌

Daniel, the quiet one of the two, has been nominated over the years as one of Kerrville’s favorite barbers. If you know him, you love him and if you’ve ever had the privilege of being groomed by him, you know how meticulous and detail-oriented he is. We’re happy to share that he’s bringing that same care and precision to real estate.

Although we’ve retired, we’ve proudly passed the baton to Jeremy owner of By The Blade Barbershop who continues to serve the Kerrville community with the same heart and hustle, along with his amazing team. ✂️💈

Stay tuned for the date of a special Retirement & Customer Appreciation Celebration we’ll be hosting at our very own venue that you’ve heard us talk about in Center Point, Rancho Arreola as our way of saying THANK YOU to this amazing community. 💛

We’re here, we’re local, and we’re ready to serve you in this next chapter. Let’s make moves together.

THANK YOU everyone for the messages sent when you saw our faces in your mailboxes!! 📫 If you don’t already use for your home or business we highly recommend them. Thanks for the feature!

It’s that time, yup you guessed it 1962 Barber Co is hanging the towel in Kerrville. Daniel and Anabel thank you for the love and support since our arrival to Kerrville in 2017.

Since the move back home to the Hill Country we have been blessed with different opportunities, that have pulled us in different directions. Our time has come to make the decision to consolidate and minimize on some “things” and maximize on our “time”.

What will happen to the barbershop you ask? This location will remain a barbershop. Now, By the Blade Barbershop the proud owner of this establishment, is the one and only Jeremy B a familiar face you’ve seen the last couple years as part of our 1962 familia.

What about Daniel you ask?!?!?!?! Not ready to lose your favorite barber? 💈💈💈💈No worries he’s not quitting, 1962 Barber Co will be a small barbershop in the country, down a dirt road that goes on forever and the party never ends….. that’s right we are taking it to the Arreola Ranch “center point of your Tejas experience” where Daniel will have a short walk down the hill to get to work. He will be working by appointment only! In the mean time, he will remain barbering at By the Blade Barbershop (same spot) until the “things” have been done for this transition.

1962 traditions live, including our Annual Beard Bash! Although we had to skip it last year rest assured that the tradition you’ve helped 1962 Barber Co create will continue and our efforts to make it bigger and better will remain.

Lastly, we send out a HUGE thank you to any and all barbers and stylists that have ever been part of our team from Buda to Kerrville! Whether your time with us was short or long we thank you for your dedication to our business and only hope to have inspired you to fulfill all your dreams and goals. Our 1962 Medrano family thank you for supporting your local barbershop.

As good friend, owner of Central Provisions in CP says viva center point!!! 🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️

A barber chair isn’t just a piece of furniture
—it’s a silent witness to the individuals who take a seat, sharing their stories, dreams, and sometimes, their secrets. For another year, that humble chair has served as the stage for personal narratives, from joyous moments to heartfelt confessions.
In the past twelve months, It has heard laughter as friends reunite after months apart, the quiet sighs of someone who’s just lost a loved one, and the steady rhythm of someone who’s trying to figure out what comes next. It’s where big decisions are made—whether that’s deciding on a bold new look or deciding whether to take that leap into the unknown.
A barber chair isn’t just a piece of furniture
—it’s a silent witness to the lives of countless individuals who take a seat, sharing their stories, dreams, and sometimes, their secrets. For another year, that humble chair has served as the stage for personal narratives, from joyous moments to heartfelt confessions.
In the past twelve months, it’s been a front-row seat to life in motion. It has heard laughter as friends reunite after months apart, the quiet sighs of someone who’s just lost a loved one, and the steady rhythm of someone who’s trying to figure out what comes next. It’s where big decisions are made—whether that’s deciding on a bold new look or deciding whether to take that leap into the unknown.
But beyond the stories, the barber chair stands as a symbol of community—a place where people from all walks of life cross paths, exchange wisdom, and sometimes, simply find a moment of peace in a busy world.
So, here’s to the stories the barber chair has heard this year. They’ve been funny, raw, vulnerable, and powerful.
We wish you all
A HAPPY NEW YEAR 🎊🎈🎆
