Congratulations to our 2026 Grassy Hill New Folk Winners! ✨

Please join us in celebrating (left to right) Hudson Mueller, Stephanie Sammons, Sarah Golden, Helena Hallberg, Caitlin Cannon, and Logan Vath.

For more than five decades, New Folk has been one of the beating hearts of the Kerrville Folk Festival: a place to listen closely, lean in, and hear the future of songwriting taking shape in real time.

We are deeply grateful to Grassy Hill for their generous support of this program over so many years. Their continued commitment helps make it possible for these artists and their songs to be heard, celebrated, and carried forward.

We also want to send a big thank you to
for their seamless livestream work, helping us share New Folk with the folk fans watching from home and giving them a front-row seat to what’s new, next, and current in the singer-songwriter sphere.

To this year’s winners: congratulations. Your songs moved us, surprised us, and reminded us why this program matters so much. Welcome to the New Folk family. 💛

Buckle up, Kerrville… tonight’s the night!

takes the stage at Kennedy Theater, bringing the kind of songs that can hush a crowd one minute and have them hollering the next. Zero exaggeration when we say we’ve been looking forward to this moment since his beyond stellar set at this year’s Luck Reunion.

Sharp writing, a voice full of hard miles and humor, and that unmistakable Texas edge… JRW has become one of the most compelling songwriter-performers around, and we’re thrilled to welcome him to the Ranch this evening for the very first time!

Day 2 is officially underway. Grab your people, find a spot under the trees, and let’s do this right. 🌙🎶

It always feels like an unfinished story when a New Folk artist doesn’t return to the Ranch to celebrate with us the next year.✨

Back in 2019, took home a New Folk win with the kind of songwriting that quietly stops you in your tracks… sharp-eyed, tender, and beautifully human. Then, like so many things, the world hit pause before we really got the chance to soak in that moment together.

So we’re extra excited to finally welcome Liv back to the Kerrville Folk Festival lineup on Saturday, May 30. 💛

Her songs carry that late-night porch-light glow… thoughtful and intimate, but never small. The kind of music that feels right at home under the trees at Quiet Valley Ranch.

Each camp, each tent, each and every one of you makes this place feel like home.

Thank you for being here and sharing this beautiful time and space with us.
You are our chosen family and you are what makes like worth living.

Welcome Home! See you around the campfires!

⚡️It’s Frasco Friday, Friends!⚡️

And on Saturday, May 30, that glorious tornado of singalongs, stage dives, saxophone blasts, and joyful chaos known as Andy Frasco & the U.N. is closing out the night at the Kerrville Folk Festival.

If you’ve never experienced an Andy Frasco set before, just know this: it’s less “concert” and more “beautifully unhinged family reunion with a killer band.” Somewhere between a rock show, a group therapy session, and the last night at summer camp… except dustier and with better songwriting.

After a stacked evening featuring Liv Greene, The Tiarras, and Jake Xerxes Fussell, Frasco takes the Kennedy stage to send Saturday night into orbit. Expect dancing. Expect surprises. Expect the kind of full-body laughter that sneaks up on you sometime around song three.

LAND RUSH 2026 begins tomorrow at noon, and Quiet Valley Ranch is looking mighty fine. 🌿✨ The grass is cut, the stages are ready, the cicadas are tuning up, and we can’t wait to welcome y’all home!

A few reminders before the parade of tarps, stakes, wagons, and camp chairs begins:

🏕️ Please do not arrive before noon tomorrow, Friday, May 15. Early arrivals will be directed to overflow parking across the highway, and for everyone’s safety, no lining up or stopping along Hwy 16 is permitted.

🎟️ You’ll need a First Weekend pass (or equivalent festival credential) to participate in Land Rush and early campground setup.

📍 Land Rush stakes are available for purchase online or in person when you arrive and can be picked up at VIP/Staff Central across from the office:
Friday, May 15 • Noon–8pm
Saturday, May 16 • 8am–1pm
After that, you can pick up stakes in the office.

🐾 Leave the pets at home! As always, pets are not permitted on Festival grounds or in A-Lot parking. Only trained service dogs, as defined by ADA guidelines, are allowed and must be registered with the office.

💬 We’re also hosting a Community Discussion tomorrow night, Friday, May 15 at 7pm in the Kennedy Outdoor Theater. Come gather with fellow Kerrverts, ask questions, share ideas, and help us kick off another year at Quiet Valley Ranch together.

It’s just a couple of days until the campground starts turning into a tiny city of song circles, coffee pots, lanterns, and old friends finding each other again. We can hardly wait! Welcome Home. 💛
