Wampoo Roadeo-Metric Century Bike Ride Five routes that all start in downtown Keo, Arkansas. https://www.bikereg.com/wampoo-roadeo The Wampoo Roadeo is a fund raiser for Recycle Bikes for Kids (RB4K).

Recycle Bikes For Kids gives free bikes to kids, provides adults the opportunity to earn a bike, and supports bike infrastructure and education in our community. Since 2008, RB4K has given out over 24,000 free bikes to kids. Projects funded through the Wampoo Roadeo include installing bicycle repair stands and air pumps along the Arkansas River Trail (ART), providing helmets for kids when they rec

eive a free bike, donations to both Little Rock and North Little Rock for the purchase of mechanical trail sweepers, and donations toward the purchase of three water fountains for the ART. These types of bike infrastructure improvements will continue with funds from the Wampoo Roadeo Metric Century Bike ride.

May is National Bike Month, and around here that means one thing: it’s almost time to saddle up for the Wampoo Roadeo-Metric Century Bike Ride.

Big thanks to Southern Paramedic Service for helping keep our riders safe and for putting together this great Bike Month graphic. We’re proud to work with partners who understand that a strong cycling event takes planning, teamwork, and a whole lot of community spirit.

Every rider who comes to Keo helps support and helps put bicycles into the hands of kids who need them by Recycle Bikes for Kids. That’s the heart behind this whole wild roadeo.

A whole lot of miles, moving parts, and sweaty cyclists depend on good planning long before sunrise on ride day. Big thanks to Karen with Southern Paramedic Service, Richard Lawrence representing our HAM radio crew, and Charlie for sitting down to map out rider safety, communications, and support plans for this year’s Wampoo Roadeo. As well thanks always to The Grumpy Rabbit for being a wonderful place to have a meal and meeting!

From route coordination to emergency response, these folks help make sure our riders can focus on one thing: riding fast through SoLoCo. Your safety is our priority!!
