This Sunday, September 13th from 2-5pm, Lake Writers and Arts on the Lake invite you to join for their annual Coffeehouse Open-Mic reading.

Join the group in welcoming fall with a casual afternoon of original stories and poetry. Admission is free and refreshments will be available.

Lake Writers has been awarded a Poets & Writers mini-grant for our featured speaker at the Coffeehouse. This year's featured writer is Elizabeth Frischauf, a poet and member of Lake Writers, who will read from her second book of poems about family Holocaust trauma and its impact on generations in America, The Lost Notebook.

Summer isn't over yet!! Join us this coming Saturday (5th) at 7pm as we enjoy "For the Natural World" on the Boyd Concert Law.

“For the Natural World” features performances by Contact Improv, Postscript and Kilgore for a night in dedicating their music to the vitality of Earth and the Natural World. Join us in thoughtful listening to local musicians debuting new music and projects.

This coming Friday, August 7th, join us upstairs as we enjoy an evening of classical music. Local musicians - Freeman Moser, Maya Hartglass and Anna Cain will be performing pieces composed by Johann Sebastian Bach (1686-1750) as well as premiering three new pieces composed by Barry Hartglass.

For this year’s final Summer Concert, we are excited to welcome Spanglish Fly – part band, part celebration! Hailed as the premier band of the Latin boogaloo revival, NBC New York has described them as “single-handedly reviving sixties bugalú in NYC”. Bugalú that mix of Latin and soul/R&B music that emerged from the clubs, the street corners, the transistor radios and the pool halls of 1960s Spanish Harlem, “El Barrio”. Two woman lead vocalists sing in English and Spanish over a Latin percussion section, horns, piano and bass.

Concert Information:

This is an outdoor concert on our Boyd Family Concert Lawn next to Lake Carmel. Bring your lawn chairs or rent one of ours for $1.

The "doors" open at at 6 PM with music starting at 7PM.

Parking is limited so plan to arrive early and consolidate cars.

Tickets are $10 and are available on-line or at the door. Kids are free. Music is rain or shine! In the event of bad weather, the concert will be moved inside with limited capacity.
